A friend of mine let me borrow this cassette tape back in 1983. I would sit and cry as I played this song over and over. For the first time I understood about the sacrifices given over and over until Jesus gave his precious blood to cover my sins. It brought me to true repentance. And then my soul was flooded with joy and I knew I was forgiven forever! Hallelujah!

When I think of how Elvis Presley grew up in Pentecostal church, and how much he loved to sing gospel music, I then dream of Elvis singing this in concert. Wow, how awesome that would have been! Think of how many of Lanny's great songs Elvis would have loved to sing. If only Elvis had made it to the 80's. Reagan in the White House and Elvis Presley back in church. Oh my, the thought just blows my mind.

Elvis did “Sweet Sweet Spirit” in concert. It wasn’t a Lanny Wolfe song but if he had heard any of Lanny’s song he would have done them.

I think about how much he missed out on by becoming famous. If he had strictly sang for the glory of God he would have lived a long life, and even more meaningful. But the world doesn’t understand that concept.

Wow, praise you Jesus for the ministry of Bro. Lanny! I was greatly influenced by his ministry and in fact I started taking lessons on piano from one of the teachers and musicians, Ron Dansby along with Min. Joe Whitfield at JCM, Jackson College of Ministries a school for the UPC; United Pentecostal Church. Lanny would participate in the workshops of the GMWA; under Rev.James Cleveland and some of Wolfe's music was presented, while Wolfe would return to his organization and do live recordings.

I've been in a few choirs in the Pentecostal church , however , As for as I can see , NO ONE can reach the quality of the UNITED PENTECOSTAL CHURCH'S music . Becky Fender has always had a great music team . I've work with celebrates like Elvis Presley , Johnny Cash , Bill and Gloria Gaither and many more , such as the Blackwood Brothers Quartet and we all see people like Lanny Wolfe as having a great gift from the Lord !
