There is nothing consumer about this extruder. "pro" is an understatement. It's built like a piece of factory production equipment that needs to run 7/24 for 20 years between servicing. Absolutely beautiful.

@Andy Burns CNC lathe would do it. You'd need to know how your lathe reacts to the code. Alternatively, the safer option is fourth axis on a CNC mill.

What is the durability of the plastic product? For instance in another video you discuss making plastic beams. Are they UV resistant? Maybe you can make a deck out of it, but if it will just crack when exposed to the sun it might not work out.

Would be nice if you could show us how you made an I beam (@ 25:42) with is machine. I have been recycling EPS foam to make concrete slabs for my own uses and your videos gave me a new idea. Thanks and let's recycle.

I have watched the build a few times and will probably build one, i have a few projects that i would need a n extruder for. These videos are really good. Can you give me and your other subscribers an indication of the output of the extruder, Kg/Hr of Polypropylene, also how many Kw you would need for the heater bands. The parts i want to make are an extruded part, 3 types, approximately 1 metre long. I am a retired Toolmaker and have a fully equipped engineering workshop. I hope you keep up the good work with these really good instructional videos. Reg

Why did you mount motor high if it was 180 down your center of gravity would be lower and room for a big hopper.

@peter-basschelling66954 жыл бұрын
