Good designs are always based on some sort of simplicity. Nice work Weima. Looks very functional and durable.

Wondering if the machine has a reversing switch, to clear a jam without disassembly🤔. Having a set of programs to choose from, that cyclically does a forward reverse, while handling large/tough materials, would be beneficial too.❤👍

I'm glad. I've been one of your harshest critics over the years and shredders has always been one of my bigger issues. But, I've always given you respect for putting out open source plans. And I do thank you for that. It's disappointing to me personally that they're always in an industrial direction, but that's understandable in this case because a corporate collaboration should have industrial safeties and robustness. I'm still hoping that someone will develop plans for the hobbyist level and create a shredder that's extremely cheap to produce. Because my focus is the democratization of recycling to the household. But that's why my designs and methods don't even need shredding. I've been able to remove the step entirely for my purposes. But again, this is really good. Hopefully more companies and small businesses will be able to take these designs and start producing these for sale. Then recycled plastic can become a much more accessible material.

Cheap to build, but also very small since I don't plan on doing it a lot and would have to find a place to store it. Personally I don't mind if it takes longer because it is small, but perhaps other people do and that's the reason that they are all big?

If it is released open source, simplify it as much as possible. Make all the sheet metal for xometry laser cutting, and use the minimal amount of bolts necessary. Remove whatever specialists processes where possible - welding etc. Ask ‘why would they not buy a cheaper version with no assembly’? Remove any complexity to it, and reaffirm the strategy with repairability methodologies.

There's nothing an individual can make from the shredded plastic. And you need to separate the plastic into all the different types. You need a plastic recycling facility to make something.

I'd love this machine, I could never get one made. Could I buy one ready-made? For the UK. I've been following you guys from the start, and I would love to start a business recycling plastic. I don't know if I'd ever be able to afford one, but you never know. Please let me know what I could do to maybe get one and start a business of my own. Kind Regards. 😀👍

Seeing Dave next to the corporate guy, as an engineer myself, it was clear to me that I don't want to be rich inside a corporation but free, real and poor and also *alive*! Maybe I should go to project kamp.. Too anarchist for this fake corporate life. No offense, Torsten. You can quit and come to Kamp also.
