Another great video... I'm working on this too... all modules have now arrived to start my own build based on a esp32wroom/um982 chip... I don't know atm if I'm going to run with a PPP build or a base station build for now, but I think it's going to be both for experimentation purposes. I also ordered a DIY Rover kit so I have something to strap a PPP or corrected RTK solution atop. Now I Just need the time to start learning really😀 Merry Xmas

Hello, thank you for your great video 👍 I will order the UM980 to use with my black cubepilot which is installed in my bait boat equipped with an echo sounder, the only problem is which antenna I could use with the UM980. Thanks again for the video 👏

Thanks for the comment! For a rover, I’d suggest going with the UM982 module instead of the UM980. It has a dual-antenna setup, so you can get directions, which may be handy for your bait boat🎣. For the antenna, I’m in the middle of buying a few different ones (from cheap to high-end) and plan to make a comparison video soon. In the meantime, I’d recommend at least a dual-frequency antenna that supports L1 and L2 or L1 and L5.

Hello, I received my UM980 module I wanted to know if you could answer me a question, do you need an antenna compatible with Galileo HAS E6? I have a Beiten BT-T076 antenna can I use it?

​@@olacarpe6676 No promises, but I would think the Beitian BT-T076, being a triple-band antenna, will do the trick for you.

Once you get the unit, check your firmware version. It will likely be the newest. If not, reach out to the vendor to request an update. If you used the same distributor (WitMotion) I used and linked, they are usually quick to respond.

I made some experiment in the EU with PPP following your guide. With the better antenna (EM-500) i get more precise and more accurate measurements down to 25-35 cm, however with EM-901A neither precise, nor accurate =) Probably having the antenna under the eave is not ideal.

This is within the range of precision I am getting. Nice work comparing different antennas. I am planning to do the same.
