The SprayBot Project, led by the UK Agri-Tech Centre, in partnership with University of Newcastle, Fotenix, and the Silsoe Spray Applications Unit, combines spore traps, DNA diagnostics, multispectral imaging, and a precision sprayer to detect and treat diseases at a sub-field level.
Field trials at Newcastle University’s Cockle Park Farm validated its potential to improve disease management while reducing chemical use.
