Good video. Most pressure fighters can't fight backward. Forcing them back makes them real uncomfortable if you can do it. They tend to have terrible balance while they try and reset to come forward again. This is where you can fill in those spots with clean technical effective punches. But you must commit to coming forward and step in tight while keeping conscious of your defense. Good video bro.

Yep. I Play a lot of chess in internet and many very strong attack players are helpless when give even a little pressure to him. So I think chess is close for boxing. This good channel. Learn every video something new and very clear explained.

Agree 100%. My background is in karate for many years but I'm just starting to get into boxing. My feeling is that if you yourself start to back up you need to stop it and change it to moving laterally or circling. When you start to back up you've just started to lose the fight. There are exceptions of course but I've encountered very few fighters that can fight well backing up.

@@petskup4 boxing isnt a chess match. If your opponent is faster and stronger and more durable than you you are gonna lose
@petskup44 жыл бұрын
@@iliasseferiadis6204 yep. It is so amazing how fast boxers move and reacts. I meant if opponent are fast too and can give right time counter punches pure attacker with no defence will lose in high level. But in that level you do both well. I keep my mind that chess and boxing is the same idea try to hit and avoid to get hit but when think it is the every games and sports idea :D you are right. I must start think more to attack way.

Volume/pressure fighting can work in some instances. You can be a pressure fighter and throwing high volume punches and still be smart about it. It's just a tough style to maintain, becuase it takes alot of stamina.

Great advice , this guy is very good. Here is another tip from Rock Jaw. When youre against a speed demon that flurrys ..use a powerful stiff jab to body and head..step with him and try to pin him in the corner,,the jabs will push the fighter backwards and pin him. Once the speed demon is pinned..his speed is trapped..then you T off on your opponent.

Another reason why I still think you're the best boxing coach on KZbin. A few months ago, I got slaughtered by a guy who was smaller than me, but great conditioning, and crazy flurries. It's hard when you're getting barraged to realize that just staying stationary and crouching isn't helping. Coach told me to dance around him more on the outside, in and out, in and out. It was cool to beat him second time around, but cooler to just feel like I was learning. I'm still having trouble learning how to get on the inside though. Probably still have to get over lingering fears of getting hit.
@PrecisionBoxing10 жыл бұрын
yes it takes awhile to get comfortable on the inside. One way is to do body sparring but still keep your hands high enough as if you could get hit in the head. You need a good partner who will co-operate.

This makes a lot of sense. By nature, a machine gun seek to bring you down with sheer volume of flak, doesn't have that much accuracy, just keep throwing. Staying in one place would just make you be the receiver of the barrage, overall not a good idea. What you should do is shift so that he would have trouble keeping you in his sights and his 'field of fire'while at same time seek to 'flank' him. Use your mobility to make the machine gun miss his shots even more, and when he thinks he's at least keeping you 'suppressed', ...hohoho noooo, you are flanking him, you're attacking him and he's getting punished. Great tactics, sir. The idea applies not just to boxing, to any such situation in fact. Thank you greatly for this tip.

I know this a boxing channel but I run into this quite a lot in Muay Thai and I always found an effective way to deal with it was legs kicks Anything you can do to second guess themselves from bum rushing you works I’ve seen guys throw spinning back kicks so stop guys charging or a strong cross to the body. Essentially getting them to be scared to charge in

attack from motion, certainly food for thought in that.my coach called machine gun punchers "jamming style" he said if you keep that pressure on like that you will get hit but probably not to hard.People lose something as they get winded, if you can let him work with out hurting you, and you have the wind for it you can beat the more skilled person.

Most importantly, control your breathing as you move laterally and as you move forward. A lot of guys, as they swivel and tilt, as they move from one side to the next, not only do they pause and stop but they breathe anxiously, which results in them losing momentum and control.

Ah, you are potentially using, the punching while moving backwards technique from your previous video, while riding the bike. My artillery is starting to stock pile. Thanks! My go to moves for high volume punchers is to slip or roll a punch to the outside of their lead foot and pivot so I'm facing their ear and in their blind spot. For me it gives me more time to fire a counter and/or get on the bike because they need to make more adjustments to realign themselves with me. Sometimes I even clinch from their side and turn them.
