One thing I got from this is saving the stickers in photos. I've been trying to save everything in DropBox since I move between an HP computer and an iPad. I'm getting better at working just with the iPad, so this is very helpful.

I know this video was made before the introduction of the Elements feature, but saving stickers as Elements seems ideal! Has the workflow shown here changed since the introduction of Elements? Do you, yourself, import stickers this way into every digital notebook you use, or do you have them in Elements? And when you sell a sticker sheet, can the customer add the whole sheet into Elements somehow, or must they open the sheet and add stickers one by one to a collection? this makes sense because I really assume you can do all in Canva. I was getting frastrated for like 2 months wondering when I create a DS sheets it won't just copy that 1 icon but it was copy the whole sheet lol. If you know Canva can do it, please share too, I bought the premium of Canva which I love it just not sure why we can't pre crop there. Once again you for sharing :)

No, precropped is only in GoodNotes because you’re making the sheets for GoodNotes :) You can make the sheet itself in Canva and then import into GoodNotes. Drag & drop your stickers as shown in the tutorial. You can also watch the latest video where I cover this even further.

Thanks for the great video, I have one question, how do you make the sticker background template with all the business information? Is that just a pdf page that you made in Goodnotes or made it elsewhere? What size is the background page? All videos on KZbin miss this step and I cannot find it anywhere.

Your videos have been so helpful! I am designing my own stickers in Procreate but they are importing into GoodNotes very pixelated. I doubled the size of the original file and made sure it is 300DPI and it still imported at the same resolution. Does this happen to everyone?

If you're trying to increase the size of the stickers in GoodNotes -- it's likely they'll end up a little pixel-y because it's a raster program (i.e. based on pixels) versus vectors which are great for scaling up or down. Procreate stickers usually are fine for GoodNotes since the stickers are generally small or roughly the same size of their original creation. I hope this helps!

You can use either, but I tend to use and prefer PNG. You won't get transparent backgrounds with JPG.

I've seen some Etsy sellers have the same exact sticker sheet, just in multiple colors, do they have to do them all separately and match them up? how does that work?

They probably use procreate or a similar app. Draw heach part of the sticker on a separate layer and the just use hue filter or block alpha to change the color, then import it as an imagen file

This is strictly for GoodNotes. It’s a GoodNotes file, which can only be read by GoodNotes!

came across your video, omg i've been looking for help with this FOREVER. this helps with the Goodnote File, and I guess for the PNG files we can do the same, my question now is the PDF, on Etsy you see everyone write it's a PDF so i am lost again, can you please explain the process on how to do that, for I am so confused, or can you just upload the Goodnote file (unzipped) and the PNG files in Etsy and people can download like that. PDF is for those who print stickers and use them in paper planners. Not for digital planners.

Sounds like you're just talking about a "download sheet" -- a PDF that has buttons that link to be able to download the GoodNotes files or individual PNGs from. Have you purchased from KDigitalStudio before? We use download sheets to easily compile links for users to click and download their files. Regardless, GoodNotes sticker sheets still *only* end in .goodnotes. If it ends in .PDF, it's not a precropped sticker sheet.

So sorry to comment on this video so long after you posted it 🙈 I just wondered if I could ask a silly question... when creating your stickers in procreate before this importing step, do you just draw them on separate layers and then save them all individually with a transparent background? I can’t think of another way to save them in bulk from procreate to get them ready for this step so unsure on if this is the only way or if I’m being silly? This video is so so great and extremely helpful, thank you! 😌

I go through all my comments to answer questions :) And I do both. Depending on the number of stickers I decide that I want in any one pack, I'll choose one method over the other. The easiest way is obviously to do it all on a separate layer. My most recent video on the channel shows my entire process for making stickers and exporting them for use later.

Okay... So I’m gathering that the stickers must be a separate file?? When I created my first planner, I added two sheets in the back with stickers. Once I put them into Goodnotes, I couldn’t lasso them.

Correct :) You'll want them to be individual and then manually move them all over that way you can lasso them later!

It should work the same. However, I am not sure that Noteshelf has a file system similar to GoodNotes, meaning I don't think there is a .noteshelf file, but I could be incorrect about this. Noteshelf can be used to store precropped stickers though!

Hi K! One quick question…is it necessary to do this now in 2021 that we have the new goodnotes feature „Elements“? I guess it is easier just to have the stickers in png format and then add them to „Elements“, right? And the same for people who create them for selling…you offer the customer the png files for them to add them to „Elements“, right? Not necessary, but I still offer precropped sheets and individual stickers. You cannot share Elements collection currently, but many people still prefer the sheets over the individual stickers for GoodNotes. I've found that many in the digital planning community aren't even really using Elements, surprisingly!

Hey KDigitalStudio! I tried this same method when making myself some digital stickers for my digital planner, but whenever I create a pre-cropped sticker sheet and use the lasso tool to copy my sticker and paste it on to my digital planner, somehow my sticker shape gets distorted. It sort of automatically turns slightly diagonal when I use the lasso tool and copy/paste to my planner. Do you have any tips on how to fix this? I currently use Keynote on my iPad to create my functional stickers for my planner. Thanks in advance! I love your videos! :)

Thanks for loving on my videos :) Not sure what issue you could be running into there. I normally see diagonal distortion like that if I try to resize but accidentally begin rotating the sticker when I just meant to make it larger!

Import your planner into GoodNotes. Insert all the precropped stickers, and then share the entire planner file as a GoodNotes file. Only Goodnotes users will be able to use the planner and stickers this way. I often create the planner and sticker section separate for this reason.

hi, I want to sell my digital stickers but I haven't got an ipad. I can't create a goodnotes sticker book because I haven't got goodnotes. how should I prepare the digital stickers for customers to use in goodnotes easily? I've got transparent PNGs, but I think there are too many stickers so I want them to be organised to use. Is there a way to create a book without exporting as a goodnotes file for pre-cropped stickers?

No. If you want to offer a GoodNotes file, you’ll have to use GoodNotes. There isn’t a workaround for this. If you have a Mac, you can still download and use GoodNotes that way. Otherwise, just organize them into a folder and zip it for your customers.

I’m new to this and I got the idea of how to crop if they’re square or precropped but what if you pull an image off Pinterest; like a flower and it’s not precropped or a png. Can you make a video on that ? I can’t find anything like that on KZbin

There's only "square" crop if that makes sense. You can do freehanded crop in GoodNotes and just circle the flower you have, but it will auto-create a square crop. That's fine! My non-geometric stickers are not perfect cropped to the edges. I hope this helps!

No. Goodnotes is its own file type. Notability won't read it because it is a different app. As far as I know, notability doesn't have its own file type.

Hey I just watched your video and tried. Thank you for your wonderful video. But I just need a little bit of help. The resolutions of my stickers are decreased when I bring them to GoodNotes. I am sure this ain’t usual phenomenon but this happened to me how can I fix this?

Interesting... I haven't encountered this issue before. The stickers I create are either vector (so resolution is not affected by size) or created on a square 300dpi canvas (which is the standard for best resolution on web/print). I would recommend either re-saving the stickers and then bringing them into GoodNotes, or making sure that future stickers are created on 300dpi canvas.

Yes, make sure you complete your planner in Keynote then export as PDF to GoodNotes. Then add your stickers :)
