I just mounted the same antenna and shaft length on my diesel wagon. I didn't tune it yet but got a SWR reading of 3 on both Ch 1 and Ch 40. I was out in the cold mounting it so tuning it in the cold will be timely.

@@Kiddro22 that’s exactly what I was dealing with last night. Cold weather and SWR was like 3. 😆 I think it was 3.0 on channel 40 and it was lower on channel 1 closer to 2.0 I took a chance and figured cutting the whip had to help and sure enough after 3 hrs I got it lol

@ it’s going to be hard for me. Because the yard where I park is full of trailers. So trying to tune the antenna will be a challenge.

Wallcott just made you spend $ you didntt need to..Unless your running big power or dont like fibreglass antenna,a skip shooter or firestick(4-7ft lengths)would have done the trick @half the price..Love the antenna no doubt(i own 2 or 3)but just not needed unless you fit the above..

@ I run a old 48T. I normally run a Francis and get it over with. But can’t find any 5-1/2 ones anywhere no more. It was one of the last ones in my batch.
