i like how you say 'for me' as if it's not almost universally accepted that the first one is by FAR the best in the franchise. only an insane person would actually prefer something like either AvP movie or the most recent two predator films to the original. the reason you prefer the first one is because not only is it actually good, it's one of the most amazing sci fi action films of all time. 2 is ok. but the others are unimportant, uninfluential, and inconsequential. that's not just my opinion. tell me a film that was influenced by 'predators'.

@@henrycunningham1960 'Predator', 'Predator 2' and 'Prey' are the only films I consider. 'Predator 2' is probably my favourite. There are some problems with 'Prey', but it had the essence of a Predator film.

Favorite of the film series is Predator 2 for me. More action and violence, lots of great quotes and humor that was the 90s. Gary Busey’s on screen death by the Predator 👍🏾. Easter egg that ties to other franchises, particularly Alien. Also a great soundtrack that is just as good, if not better than the first. It’s nostalgic for me too since I was too young to go see it in the theaters and had to settle for Home Alone 😂. How I couldn’t wait to see it on VHS, to rent which I did often being young.

Predator 2 is my favourite. The crazy looking handguns, the action. It was my grade 6 birthday party movie 🎥. I drew personal predator invitations for all the kids I invited. I was so obsessed with Predator 2, I called my Grandma up and talked about the predator movies 🍿 for 2 and a half hours (longer than the length of the movie 🎥). She didn’t mind, I think 🤔 she just liked talking to her grandson lol. Gonna have to pick this up after I recover from Christmas. Awesome overview 👏🏼

I remember watching the first predator movie with my family as a kid and loving it. Now when I think about it brings back those good memories. That's why it will always have a soft spot in my heart. But the second one is great too. I'm new to comics and your video's really helped me find the best way to enjoy it. Thanks a lot!

The first will always be my all time favourite predator movie because of how great the story is and builds an ominous threat throughout half the movie until the big standoff between arnie and the predator as the most badass 1 v 1 fight to the death epicness. It is the most manliest macho movie ever with high octane action also with a touch of horror. Nothing gets better than that and they don't make movies like this anymore since the 80's and the 90's are the golden era of movies.

Favorite is the original... Predator 1, the first movie, however the second has its charms! Grew up with the first and later on saw the second movie. None will be better than the original --- get to the chopper! and the part when they chopped all the trees with a minigun -> CONTAAAAACT!!!

i think a better reason for the first one being your favorite is because it's the best one, by far. it's the only truly great one, after the second one, no others are even 'very good'. the idea that you felt the need to explain why you like the only great film in a franchise full of duds is.. weird.

Compared to the Alien franchise, I'm honestly shocked by how good the hit/miss ratio of the Predator movies is. After being not just pleasantly surprised, but blown away by Prey, I gotta say that the only Predator movies I haven't loved have been the AvP duology and THE Predator. For today's purposes, I'll give a shout-out to 2010's Predators, just cuz I feel like it commonly gets forgotten or glossed over.

My favorite Predator movie is the original. IMO it is a classic example of a franchise built on a single good movie, with all sequels being cash grabs that were only good because of association with the original. I don't know about the comics though. The only Predator comic I ever read was the Batman crossover, which I loved at the time. EDIT: I haven't seen Prey, but I will definitely check it out.

Remember buying both the original Predator and Terminator series from Dark Horse and loving Chris Warner’s art as a kid.
