@@jake-qn6zy if I were in the position within the company to do so, I certainly would. But as it works out, Cummins will donate former test engines to tech school programs. If the boy gets into a tech school program, he could get valuable experience working on our products. But as for little Indians in the operation, like me, we have to scrimp and save and buy an older Dodge truck or ex-ups van, to get the Cummins and related parts of the drivetrain to repower our own projects with.

I've built one of these trucks but I'm not so sure it would be able to get up to 40 mph due to the fact that it's rpms are limited to 3600, also it doesn't have enough gumption to get up a hill at any decent speed. Not good for the mountains, but probably great for Florida!

Professional mechanics will really respect how the builder sorted out the engine installation. Neat, practical solutions, simple and reliable, what's not to like! Your creativity is great to see, especially in a young guy, there won't be anything that you can't achieve with your application to finding good solutions. You'll inspire others to do stuff for themselves, as you have done. Much respect from.a former motorcycle mechanic and workshop owner in London.

@@TJ-ux6ng I've seen a video with a supercharged v-twin that a guy made his own efi system for I think that would be cool in the truck.

Interesting build. You should try doing a Vanguard 40bhp Briggs and Stratton engine swap in a truck like that one.

Pretty kool to see creativity in young people. Put some mods on your engine n relocate the gas tank to the bed of the truck.

420cc and a smaller receiving sprocket, it'd probably do 30-35 mph and be "legal enough" to use as an around town grocery getter, in low gear range enough to haul stuff around for working a farm pulling a utility trailer loaded down too. not good for highways or freeways, but perfect for doing all the local close to home stuff.
