Hi Omkar, eats(x,y) means ‘x eats y’. This is same as example 3 in which Neha eats burger is written as eats(Neha, burger). Since in example 4, specific names are not given, so we will consider it for all. Therefore, ∀x denotes anyone; ∀y denotes anything. And in statement, it is written ‘anything (which anyone eats) is called food’, that is why we have denoted it as food(y).
