There are several random characters I’d like to see, which includes: - E. Gadd - Toadsworth - Cranky Kong - Petey Piranha - Kamek - The Koopalings - Nabbit - King Bob Omb - Pianta (with colour variants) - Boom Boom - Hammer Bro (which extends to fire, water and ice bro) - Sledge Bro - Ninji - Dixie Kong - Pom Pom - Spike (includes snow and stone versions) - Gooigi There are a lot of mainline Mario characters they could add before even being forced to add other Nintendo properties. I’d rather there was an emphasis on Mario in Mario Kart.

In addition to the characters mentioned in the video, it would be nice to finally have Professor E. Gadd playable, knowing that he should have been in Mario Kart DS, but was removed from the final game. After all this time, it's finally time for him to join the roster. And also, a personal idea, why not have the WarioWare characters (9-Volt, 5-Volt, Ashley, Jimmy and so on).

While i dislike the baby characters, the only one of these i dont see coming is Paratroopa, and even then he could be a costume. Instead, i think Goomba should come. The first ever Mario enemy. If he can roll a dice and play tennis, he can drive a kart.

Assuming the entire Mario Kart 8 Deluxe roster returns, my top 10 characters to see in Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch 2 would be: 1.) Cappy 2.) Foreman Spike 3.) Professor E. Gadd 4.) Dixie Kong 5.) Prince Florian 6.) King K. Rool 7.) Toadsworth 8.) Nabbit 9.) King Bob-omb 10.) Cranky Kong Honorable mention goes to Mario RPG characters, who I think are slightly unlikely but not impossible and I really want to see happen. Edit: As a longtime fan of the Koopalings who literally cried tears of joy finally being able to play as my favorite Koopaling Larry in Mario Kart 8, the slander against them in this video is one thing, but saying the Broodals are better? ...Really?

Birdo taking 8 years to come to 8 Deluxe was a crime, and while I'd argue Pauline too should have been here since day 1 (of the Switch port) to cross promote with Odyssey, it's still a lot more understandable of an omission than Birdo in Wii U and especially on Switch

I actually think your roster is perfect. The only swaps I would make are Goomba instead of baby Pauline and prince Florian instead of the Poplin! If we do see more babies, I’d actually love the baby Yoshies from NSMBUDX, or baby Wario, as he made a playable appearance in Dr. Mario world!

Piantas are also residents of Isle Delfino and Lumas are also residents of Comet Observatory, the chances of the Poplins being on the roster are almost zero, and they only stand out by appearing in baseball and tennis games like the last 2 did in the last decade. (Oh yeah, Florian, Lubba and Cappy are practically impossible to happen.)

Absolutely no offense but if we’re only getting 7 new drivers in the new MK game after over a decade (well & Tour I guess) & those are the choices i’m gonna be insanely disappointed. The anticipation for a new MK game is too high for Poplin & Cranky Kong to be the most exotic newcomers…

A couples of other newcomers I think are decently likely are Goomba, Luma, E. Gadd and Foreman Spike Goombas are the most iconic Mario enemies aside from Koopas and I think not including them would be kinda weird considering they’ve been getting playable appearances in other spinoffs Luma used to follow Rosalina in Wii and I think it’s kind of sad they removed that so it would make sense if they had Luma return as a driver E. Gadd was supposed to be in MKDS so I can see them going back to that idea & Foreman Spike is definitely more out of left field buuuut given that he was in the Mario movie I can def see them reviving his character like they did with Pauline, especially with this game’s return to the more classic artstyle

And if they were serious about reintroducing him after the huge reaction he got for Smash, it would be super smart. I’d also dig Cranky, though. Also, E. Gadd, please. And bring back Toadsworth, stop ignoring him. People like these two and they deserve more love.
