Predicting Smash Ultimate's Fighters Pass 2... with MATH

Everyone has their predictions for which characters will be in Smash Ultimate's second Fighters Pass based on their love for video gaming and expertise in the game's mechanics. But... we can do one better. I'm using math to boil down the existing roster and forecast who will be coming FOR CERTAIN in the next fighters pass using that data. No opinions here, just pure irrefutible mathematics (please don't refute my mathematics).

Honestly I don't understand why you'd go with monokuma when hajime is *way* easier to make a moveset for, because you're more uninhibited with his moveset than with monokuma, because you'd have to have a reason that the character has that move. Which leads me to ask, what would monokuma have? He doesn't really attack at all if you're not looking at UDG, and even then the normal monokuma doesn't even have that much, meanwhile hajime is good at _everything_ so you can give him just about _anything_

Jog Swanson I’d say it’s probably because Monokuma is the mascot for the series. He’s easily the most recognizable and he has an interesting and unique design to him. They could easily give him some movesets that aren’t directly melee based, probably more range based like making poles rise from the ground (Junko’s “death” in the first game), using a bat (Leon’s execution), or throwing random knick knacks like bombs at his opponents (in reference to how many times he explodes) since he is a more defensive creature after all. Tbh I don’t know why they would choose Hajime at all. He has an interesting talent, sure, but he’s kind of a blank slate with no real personality or defining features outside of that. It would be much harder coming up with fitting move sets for him.

Fighting Game/Platformer, Both, East, 90s, Return Pub and Series, Echo: Fighting Polygon Team from Super Smash Bros. It’s an echo for the original 12. Every stock is actually 3 stocks and they have the lowest weight ever in smash. No specials or grabs. I think it just makes sense.

Ok it took several days turning my brain into knots because I refused to let go of a certain character but I think I’ve settled on a plausible list based on the math. The Echo...s: While your solution is amusing, I feel that a) if Samus/Zero suit count as different characters than the 2 origin dates based on a franchise dramatic shifting in another decade doesn't work with the way reps officially count and b) if Nintendo is going to make us pay the same price as original characters for an echo slot, then it might as well be multiple characters. So the 80/00s rep is actually a “both”: Waluigi/Medusa. As much of an utter meme pick as waluigi is he’s clearly the character most suited for echo status and his origin sits in the 00s so make him taller luigi, nix the tether grab, throw in some of daisys smashs/tilts and let the internet implode. Medusas a tad of a cop out as we all know her moveset will be based off modern Palutena so her 80s status comes into question, but bringing back some of Palutenas smash 4 moveset is one of the most productive uses of echos I can think of. The shill pick, I mean the Female: I assume you know how much of a pain this is. Between all the nixed 00s characters that happen to be female and the lack of likely female reps to begin with I had to think long and hard about this in order to keep my most wanted. (to that end sorry, but I couldn't keep the secondary goal of an ambiguous female) Fortunately I found a character I kind of wanted that would work only because Nintendo does do shill picks. BotW was big, BotW2 will be bigger and Zelda will have a more important role in that than perhaps ever before. So lets promote that game with the 2010s incarnation of Zelda who uses the unused rune abilities from BotW, champion abilities and/or whatever else is coming in 2. The 80s: When you mentioned 80/00s my first thought was the prince but my second thought was the far more likely Ryu hyabusa. Platformer, solid moveset, good relationship between companies and one of the last big names of the NES era not repped: the only thing not to love is that it's another dude with a sword. The "both" that should have gotten in instead of byleth: I'm not sure if I care about or want Rex/Pyra but Nintendo will look even worse if they throw pokemon in over these two. Solid male/female duo from the 2010s, with potential for a wonky moveset, gives support to another upcoming franchise and would hopefully make it possible for me to play a xeno character. The platformer: I was going to cheat with Rayman if I could have found a 2010s female rep that didn’t originate from Nintendo, but since that didn’t pan out, I’m actually running low on new series and publishers…what to do? Oh wait, what about the second most requested western character, who happens to be a beloved 90s platformer who recently went through a massive revival and is fairly known in japan? Yeah Crash is totally going to be the BK pick of this pass with just enough gimmick to compare to some of the more bonkers characters. The character I refused to drop: Bamco has a franchise that's bigger than Tales/Tekken combined, has a game on switch and another coming, checks all the remaining boxes of male/90s/RPG and is one of the big gaming rivalries left to resolve. It's time for Agumon to digivolve into battle and show those snobby fans of tiny pocket monsters what universal ending kaiju can do. Agumon has been my pick since the "brave" leak and I think a character with the Vpet life cycle of growth would add crazy dynamics to smash. TLDR Waluigi/Medua, BotW Zelda, Ryu, Rex/Pyra, Crash and Agumon

Im pretty sure that was the joke, kinda mocking the lengths people go to trying to predict FP2. and also trying to support their odd choices (cough discount pinocchio cough). Also Danganronpa, Shenmue and prince of persia specially would be interesting choices.
