The mods for this game really makes me think is it really that hard to incorporate mechanics and visuals in a game when modders can do it better? Like look at Spiderman since it came to PC, the game has been changed to make it 20× better than it was before, the base game is still fun but I'm mad jealous of the PC owners right now.

Its better because the fans know exactly what they want. Big industries dont usually listen to input from fans, and tbh they dont really have to. It just matters if its good and makes money. Moreso the latter.

Also these mods are not production ready, usually making something polished takes a long time and coorparates make things that appeal to the casuals. For example there is a immersove camera mode which makes the game feel totally different but it wouldn't appeal to your 9 years old Timmy. So upper management doesn't approve things like this. It's not about entertaining customers, it's always about making more money. It always has been

The glide mechanic is so needed. Since Spiderman Far From Home came out n was able to glide from one end it looked cool. The gliding i think here is a bit short it should go just a bit longer. It's better gliding here than Saints Row reboot 😁

I really hope they add gliding to the next game, but I doubt it. There’s even a collectible item about the under arm webs where Peter talks about making them in hopes of gliding short distances, but he could never get them to work. With Peter having more tech available, it wouldn’t be completely ridiculous to allow him to glide

You could try and improve it by not having it glide automatically and make the player hold a button to start gliding like in Minecraft. The gliding also feels too fast you could try making it fall slower

The mod is simply a in-game animation using the same suit power of the Spider-Man 2099, that is gliding. It's pretty cool, but basic as hell, and Insomniac could do it easily if they wanted and it probably will be much better anyway.

It's just 2099's low gravity special move. You can do this in the main game. The only thing is that it isn't unlimited like it is here, and you don't have the wingsuit.

The only improvement to this mod is probably a clean animation transition from swinging to gliding- but I love that this mod exists, mostly bc the default swinging and diving doesn't make much physical sense when he's able to steer his body through the air slightly, without webs. This technically should allow that, without it seeming too extra
