Fun fact: Izanami is named after the Japanese godess of death and seems to be holding a scythe. If these aren’t mastermind/killer flags idk what are.

Just some of my thoughts: I feel like Izanami is the Ultimate Hope. It would be a "prestigious" ultimate and would explain a lot of her actions, especially her behavior in the side comic of her and Yumeo. It also explains why she feels the need to keep trying to get close to him when he wants nothing to do with her. Additionally, if ??? had the "Ultimate Hope" and then had to refuse because he's the one who killed Hanako, it would explain why it's still a mystery as EOS institute essentially covered up a murder, and in exchange ??? quietly left the institution. I also feel like Yumeo wouldn't be a sympathetic killer, instead it just leaves Izanami broken since she couldn't "save" him from himself. She has to confront the reality that she really can't save them all, and that she really can't do everything like she likes to delude herself into believing.

I call bs on izanami i think her talent is the ultimate hope but just like junko she gets bored so she creates the killing game for fun and the traitor is denshi the ultimate former hacker she manipulates him saying it's all for hope and the person who has the same ultimate as izanami is tomoya bit she erases his memory and puts him in the killing game. All for fun
