​@@416TOJA Prefab is DIFFERENT from CONTAINER homes. I think the original PORTMORE homes are regarded as prefab houses... There is a company in JA that does really nice CONTAINER HOMES

Yes. The Duhaney Park and Hughhenden houses are prefab and they are still standing. Off course people build onto them.

Jamaicans will ridicule the idea of pre-fab or container homes because they believe that only a block and steel house shows that one has attained certain levels or "arrived" or "made the grade". It's like a right of passage. Your video is very relevant and incidental since l was just the other day thinking of a container as a 3rd bedroom instead of the headache of building again, just add a 2nd bathroom.
