I’m team 12x50. Used to carry 10s AND 15s in dback and vipers. Went to Razor 12x50s and the clarity definitely makes up for the 3x loss in power. 12s are 95% of the time on a tripod looking for AZ coues! Will eventually pair with a good spotter. Cheap spotters are nearly useless!

I run 12x50 Binoculars, 20x60x60 spotter for quick glassing and recently picked up a razor 20x60x85 spotter and am really enjoying it. Saving up for a set of razor 12x50s

The safest bet for a buy once and cry once is a pair of Swarovski NL Pure 10X42. The best vortex has to offer in glass doesn’t even come close. Plus they have a field of view of your typical 8x42. Meaning they have the field of view and hand hold like a 8x but do so while pulling things in at 10x. This also applies to the 12x NL Pure which views and holds like 10x but at 12x. Not to mention the 12x42 nl pure binoculars weigh half a point less and are 1.5 inches shorter than the 12x50 Vortext UHD. But don’t worry, the 12x42 Swarovskis will still annihilate the 12x50 vortex in low light. Absolute insanity. They also stand behind their product if purchased from an authorized dealer… just don’t run them over. The last time I was careless enough to let something I owned get ran over and destroyed was at age 10 in 1996. It was my tamagotchi, and I definitely cried. However I like to think I’m not that dumb and careless anymore.

I was fortunate enough to try the Razor UHD and the NL Pure in 10x42. Not even close! The quality of the Swaro is far superior. I went with the Swaro and it hurt initially, but the sting has worn off and I’ll have them for life

Kind of an apples to oranges comparison here don’t ya think? The guys buying Vipers for $500 or Razors for $1000 or even UHDs for $1700…. They aren’t always in the market for the $3300 NL Pures… it’s a give and take scenario. I own Vipers, KNOWING some day I’ll look past Razors and upgrade straight to Swaro. But for now, where I’m at in life and hunting, the NLs aren’t something I’m missing out on because they aren’t even in the conversation…. The best Vortex has to offer in glass is 1/3 the price as NLs…and that’s exactly what some consumers want. This is like saying “kid that’s a nice Tonka…but the safest best would have been the 2500 Duramax Chevy just put out”.
