Pregabalin - Week 3. The brain fog has hit & my mojo has deserted me 😧

Honest account of my experience so far with this medication and I wanted to let others know so they’re fully informed of possibilities.

I relate precisely with your symptoms of Lyrica, especially the disinterest and zero motivation to do the usual tasks. This is whilst on the drug. The bigger truth is what I’m like when coming off of it - the withdrawals are a living hell for me. All the best with it.

I got pregabin because my spine. The world is so un interestring. Im glooed to looking out through my eyes while my mind is compleatly indifferent to any stimuly.

Watched your video from start to end. I've watched a few of your videos now. We have a lot in common. I'm much better lately but about a year ago I was exactly the same as you. I have a young daughter and some days are just the same over and over and it's hard to get the enthusiasm to face the day. I have to drag myself out of bed too sometimes and I love my lie ins but I spend a lot of days in Pjs too . I have suffered from major anxiety and panic attacks and agoraphobia in my life. I totally understand what your going through. Hang it there because it will get better. I don't like my husband seeing me without makeup and we've been together 10 years! Its rediculious When he suggests going somewhere in the car and I feel panicked. I can't get on a plane or even go a few hours down the road without feeling panic and I shake and my heart races. I've seen a therapist who tried to get me to take drugs to help but I was always too scared so I've fought on. I think you're brave taking something to help. Just know that we have a lot in common and I'm always bloody lonely it drives me mad sometimes. Funny how there's so many of us out there, there's billions in the world and I'm sat in my living room feeling like I have no one most of the time and that no one gives a shit. Any way that's just some of my story. I think your gorgeous and your obviously very intelligent. You'll be ok love xxxx

AprilMia Thank you so much for your message, it couldn’t have come at a better time. We sound very similar. After a terrible 24 hours (and about 3 hours sleep) I’m about to visit the doctor because I can’t go on like this. Wish me luck. Hugs C xx

KZbinnoname 123 It sounds to me like you’re a fighter! Well done & keep going. We can do this. I’m trying to keep distracted during this self isolation due to the corona virus and forced myself to mow the lawn. Feels better being productive rather than sitting about worrying. Stay safe xx

My2 Loves That’s how I felt once the initial high had worn off after a week or 2 of taking it. I didn’t care about anything & just felt nothing. I had to lower my dose & now feel it just takes the edge off my nerves without making me feel totally numb. Hope you find something that works for you x

I hear you I wish you better soon. Going through similar stuff can’t face my girlfriend affecting my sex drive my motivation. It’s hard to get the balance right I have tried getting out each day for a nice walk it’s helping some but . With these medications I feel kinda robbed. Anyway bless you take care.

Robert Creasey I’m sorry to hear that. You’re doing better than me, I’m not even managing to get out for a walk. I do the food shop and just about maintain the house but that’s about it. Hoping things improve soon x

I got pregablin 300 mg , I had them before n was totally out of it, anyway I took 2 300mg within a hour and fell asleep for 3 hours , when I woke it was crazy, now way I could go out . Plz don't take 2 300mg. , the feeling I got was crazy(wobbling) along trying to make a coffee, I'm used to loads of meds but pregablin are so strong. Be careful, I won't do it again. Plz don't take 600mg no way

Wow sounds like you got a bit carried away lol I’m not planning to up my dose and have stayed on the 300 mg daily (spilt into two doses) Still not looking forward to the day I have to come off it completely as I’ve heard it’s really difficult & unpleasant 😵 Hope you’re feeling ok now 😊

Been on pregabalin for 3months now at first things seamed great but now don’t leave the house now Olso don’t wash mutch anymore thing are getting worse

SANDINISTA !!!!!!! It’s easy to allow the Pregabalin to make you not care as it removes emotions but do your best to find some kind of motivation. If you need to talk I’m here & I understand fully what you’re going through x

Just been given it for fibromyalgia.. I don't wanna take it .. gonna try cbd instead.. Stay strong

gareth lewis CBD is good if you can find the right strength. Definitely takes the edge off and can help with sleep. Not sure about pain but worth a try x
