I was at the game. As an alum having been to ~ 65 games that was one of the best, most emotional games ever. Amazing day so lucky to have been there and it was my very first Rose Bowl. The stealth bomber flyover was awe inspiring To the TBDBITL: Thank you! Your performance was as typical, mesmerizing and the Utah fans were uneasy watching their band afterward

I wish the networks would show bands like this at halftime instead of the studio analysts and highlights of other games. They used to when I was watching as a kid! The bands are part of the tradition of college football which separates it from other sports.

Agreed. I'd much rather see TBDBITL, than some talking head like Kirk Herbstreit ( who never won a bowl game or beat Michigan) talk about how to win a bowl game or beat Michigan.

Networks do show the bands at halftime for the Rose Bowl, actually!

@@aninterestingpenguin9374 I agree with the OP that every game of the week presentation have the band perform instead of the seemingly endless analytical comments made by announcers. The Historically Black Colleges do during their broadcasts and all should the same as these shows are very spirited and add much to the atmosphere.

Never get tired of watching the cursive "Ohio" but this is fantastic, never seen double "Ohio!" Not just talented musicians to be able to play so well but to do all the maneuvers. Great job!! And thanks.

I play in my Highschool band and this is my dream college. I’m a freshman and it was my school’s first marching season and it was the best semester of my life. I wanna do marching band all throughout college, this school preferably.

Love being able to hear the band sing "Buckeye Battle Cry" after Script! They always cut away from that (damn commercials) during TV games. Goosebumps.

Now THIS is what college football is all about! And while this great band was thrilling the crowd, ESPN was showing car commercials and having their 3 talking heads speculating about the game and those to follow during the day (promotions). This bands should be part of every game. They set the stage for the tribalism and regional pride to follow. Even the trophy ceremony was not shown on live TV but rather on line. Great job OSU Band. Wish I would have been there to hear it in person. Nothing like the Grand daddy... Wonderful game to. Just WOW! Brent Musburger used to start the show with "Your looking live at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena"... What a stage indeed. See it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppTcmKCLi5KjhLM Chills!

The difference between TBDBITL and Utah’s halftime performances was palpable. Precision and power one one side, not a hat or foot out of place…on the other side half were on the left foot half on the right, random swaying back and forth, zero precision
@andrewfurst57113 жыл бұрын
To be fair, no band comes remotely close to the OSU band. And I say that as a U of Illinois grad; all the Big 10 bands are pretty good but OSU is always the best by far.
