Try not to burn any candles for a few days and see if that helps...sometimes the fragrance adds to the rhinitis.

It’s kills me how moms feel like they “aren’t allowed” to “complain” while being pregnant. Pregnancy can be HARD. And sometimes it isn’t fun. We should be allowed to say hey I’m really struggling with x y or z and not be judged. It’s does not mean we don’t feel blessed for this miracle. Don’t get it twisted.

Ashleyyy dishwashers are at an extremely high heat . I used to boil my bottles. On the stove. But then dishwashers did the same thing. If a dishwasher doesn’t do a good job than everyone must get germs from eating in restaurants..... everyone uses the same silverware, so do u think the dishwasher doesn’t work in restaurants?
@laurenashleysexton
@laurenashleysexton 4 жыл бұрын
Diana Severns when you have hard water like where I live, dish washers leave residue. Not a matter of not getting it clean enough, but hand washing is just superior when doing bottles if you have hard water. I never had any stains doing it that way.

I know the pregnancy rhinitis is hard to handle but believe me, the sooner you get off of the nasal spray the quicker it will go away. Right now you’re prolonging it. You need to tough through it girly.
@Prayeveryday99.
@Prayeveryday99. 4 жыл бұрын
OMG so true! My mom told me not to use the nasal sprays because it will KEEP your nose stuffed and every time you need to clear your nose you will need the spray because your nose is depending on it! Even if the bottle says “non addictive” or whatever. But that’s not anyone’s fault our body just gets use to it naturally and it’s not good :/

Nurse here. Nasal decongestant longer than 3 days causes rebound congestion. That’s why they tell you not to... for a reason. It only makes it worse. Meds and antibiotics for just congestion is not a Road you want to go on.

This is just me trying to give advice and NOT get onto to you about your life, but if your OB is saying for you to stop the nose spray, is that really something to not listen to? I know you say you can't do it. But it's mind over matter. You're stronger than that!! I do know how you feel. I guess I'm just scared something could come from you continuing to use it. My advice. Throw it away!! See if your nose gets better without it. I mean this all with love.

Kristin Guthrie exactly what I’m thinking. Her body is gonna start depending on it for relief (if it hasn’t already), and she’s gonna build up a tolerance and it’ll stop working. My husband has severe asthma and doesn’t even use his inhaler unless he’s in desperate need because he knows he’s gonna start building up a tolerance to it.

So glad you mentioned pregnancy rhinitis. This is me throughout my first pregnancy. It wakes me up in the middle of the night and nothing works. Cheers for saying you don’t want advice and boo to all those that are still giving advice. Nothing works. Hot steamy shower, decongestants seem to be temporary and then the rebound is just as bad, nothing works. They say 30% of pregnant women get this but it’s so hard for me to believe because it’s rare to hear about. Thanks for shedding light on this!

Just an FYI on the baby nail clippers.....I accidentally cut the tip of my baby's finger trying to trim his nails. I even had the ones that light up so I could see. My pediatrician said it's very common and a lot of parents do it because the nail is actually fused to the skin when they're little. I HIGHLY recommend filing them instead for the first few months. I cried for hours after I cut him. Spare yourself! Lol

It was amazing. lol The portable bassinet/co sleeper is amazing! That was a life saver for us the first 2 months. We placed our son in between or pillows in bed. It made life so easy and co sleeping safe. The blankets never came up over him and neither did the pillows. We even had our boxer in bed. He always checked on our son before he fell asleep. You are allowed to complain Meg!! Dont feel sorry at all. We moms/pregnant women go through a lot. One thing i would recommend for postpartum is a postpartum belly girdle!! They usually give it to women who have a c-section, but i just asked the nurse for one & they gave me one. It helped me lose my post pregnancy tummy faster & it also helped me get back to my pre-pregnancy shape without even going to the gym or working out! I wore it everyday for about 3 months . I totally recommend it 👌 but anyways, i hope u start feeling better soon ❤️ xoxo

I have an arms reach bassinet for my daughter now. She just turned 2 months old and has been using it ever since she was born. There are things I like and dislike about this bassinet. I really like how easy it is to travel so if you go places overnight it’s really easy you don’t need to take a pack and play it just folds right up. Also if you go to someone house for the day and you know your baby will be napping or want to sleep it’s awesome because you can just pack it up and bring it and the baby will be used to sleeping in it already. I loved the storage like you said because it has a ton. The fact that the side comes down on one side is also a big plus. The wheels however are horrible. It might as well not have any at all because they don’t work very good. Another thing to look out for with it is it doesn’t have any vibration settings or anything like that but you could always get those attachment ones. Just thought I would let you know some of the pros and cons of it before you purchase it because they are expensive. On a side note I got the boppy lounger and was going to return it but then ended up keeping it and I’m so glad i did. It is amazing ! And my daughter wanted to be in it all the time. It obviously would never take the place of a bassinet or anything but she just likes to sit in it throughout the day and it’s really inexpensive.

My daughter attaches the GoPro to the car seat so she can see my Granddaughter on her phone when driving so she doesn’t have to keep looking back, but it only works when it’s light out. She also puts an Owlet on baby’s foot at night that keeps track of her vitals. Things they have nowadays are amazing. Hope you feel better soon Meg. Love watching you grow as a family.

The Halo Bassinest Glide was the best! It slides so easily, pulls over the bed, and the side folds down for easy access. I kept it next to the bed and would slide it close to me when she woke up. I kept diapers, wipes, and bottles next to the bed. When she woke up in the night I never had to get out of bed. I'd pull her close, get her out, feed her, change her then put her back. Not getting out of bed allowed me to fall back asleep more easily. She stayed in it for almost 6 months.

Since your having a winter baby aveno eczema creme is amazing for dry skin. Also if you drink while breastfeeding pump and save that milk for milk baths for diaper rashes. Cornstarch is good for diaper rashes as well. A bumbo seat, I liked having aveno eczema bath treatments as well. And order baby dryer sheets from amazon.

New Mom to a 7 week old here Postpartum you need tucks pads, predone ice packs, earth mama perineal spray, and after ease. It will make healing easier and keep you comfortable I also HIGHLY recommend a haakaa for collecting milk while you pump of breastfeed. I get an extra 2 plus onces with it.

Postpartum tips: DERMAPLAST! My hospital issued this and I bought an extra can for my bathroom. Make some freezer meals now and stock your pantry with snacks you can grab and eat. Also bigger soft panties so they aren’t tight and in case you have to have a c section you want them to go up high on your waist.

I loved the halo because you can lay the baby in it however you want and then swivel it to make sure you can see them while you’re in bed! And I used a bassinet for my baby for 4 months before we transitioned him to his crib! But some can go even 6 months! I thought it was worth it because we will be using for our next babies to come hopefully!

Baby towels that have hoods on them for after baths, diaper cream, baby bottle brush (for cleaning them), baby thermometer, vicks, petroleum jelly and gauze, bulb syringe, medicine dropper, cotton balls, some infant Tylenol (acetaminophen) but only AFTER 12 weeks. When baby is sick it will help to turn on hot shower, plug the bottom of doors and sit with them in steam (not in the shower but outside of it). Also make sure you have A LOT of pacifiers on hand lol

I love the bassinet that I got with my second baby. It’s by grace. It wasn’t expensive probably like $120. It has a big compartment underneath where I put a cooler with ice packs for if I pumped in the middle of the night and was too tired to walk downstairs. Diapers. Wipes. Extra changes of jammies. Etc. the whole bassinet also flipped over with this locking mechanism to turn into a changing table. So even when we we’re done with the bassinet part we kept that up in the bedroom just to make it easy if I wanted to change him in our room after feeding before putting him back in his room. Anywho. I’ll be using it in April again with my 3rd. It was awesome

During my pregnancy I also had pregnancy rhinitis and so did my sister, I used a nasal decongestant because none of the natural remedies worked for me. I used it for so long I also felt like it wasn’t getting better because I’ve used it to much but after I had my daughter within in days I was able to breath again!!! No more congestion. My daughter will be 1 in a few weeks. Soo from my experience you will be fine after you have your baby, no more congestion

Girl I feel your pain! I suffer from TERRIBLE sinus issues year round. It was seriously horrible during my pregnancies and I was using Afrin (nasal spray) pretty much the whole time. You don’t have to quit it cold turkey but to get off of it you use it in just one nostril (at night only)so that you can breathe out of one side to sleep and don’t use it in the other side at all. It will be miserable during the day for the first few days but you have to power through. After around 3-4 days the swelling from the rebound congestion will go down on the side you haven’t used it and then you can stop the spray altogether! Hope you find some relief soon!💕
