you said you ovulated on CD 11 but I think you meant your LH surge was on CD 11 and then you ovulated CD 12..but in the video it looks like your peak was actually CD 12 in which case you would have ovulated around CD 13.. idk just from what I can see.. maybe it looks different in person :). What time did you test each day?

I’m 24 weeks pregnant and I actually found out I was pregnant from an ovulation test. I was 5 days late and the world had just started going crazy all I had was ovulation test strips. I took one and it was instantly blazing positive. I knew then and confirmed it a few days later when I could get a pregnancy test.

Another tip for those TTC - take your ovulation test *around the same time* every afternoon, and take your pregnancy tests first thing in the morning! Both LH (ovulation hormone) and HCG (pregnancy hormone) surge in the morning, but the LH levels take 4ish hour to be picked up in your urine. What To Expect has information on this too - but if I am remembering correctly my ovulation test strips (Pregmate brand) also mentioned the ideal time to test :) If nothing else, keep your ovulation test time consistent!

Did you continue testing with the ovulation strips any after cd 14? I got my positive on cd 10 & ovulated cd 11. My tests went very light for a couple of days from 12 dpo to 14 dpo, and my levels have now gone up again as if there’s another peak.

I think I ovulated on cycle day 16... i am using the same test strips... but I am having a difficult time reading them since this is my first time testing... I also did start taking those conception prenatal pills... fingers crossed we conceive 🤞🏻though we baby danced 2 days before possible ovulation and 2 days after.... that’s if I did ovulate... I will keep testing

@@khusbuparial13 I actually kept taking ovulation tests found out I ovulate late. Cycle day 21. And I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant ☺️ first try of tracking and taking the pills and i got pregnant. Extremely blessed 🥲

Your cycle is so short. I usually ovulate around days 18-20 and this gets me really inpatient. Still Ttc and really dont know when that baby will come

every cycle is different! your's is normal for you just like hers is for her. i know a lot of women who's cycles are longer and they do not ovulate until day 20. It can be hard especially playing that waiting game. mine is average, from these tests i found out i don't actually ovulate on day 12 like i thought i would but more like 15-18. baby dust to you!! i hope you get that positive test soon

Thanks for the video. I’m still having trouble understanding all this. With my son we conceived right away but this time around it’s so easy. I need help. My period has been irregular. I just started November 18 and last up to five days. My period was late this month and my app tells me I ovulate on the 10. And my fertile window according to app this month was 5th -10th. Since we started trying was the 18th of October. And for November my window shows the 5th-10th? So from what I hear I should start happy dancing everyday starting November 1st? Anyone???

So question if you have a dark positive on an ovulation test before your cycle starts does that mean pregnancy? Or even if it shows a light positive before cycle starts could that mean pregnancy just out of curiosity if there is no pregnancy test at the time..

There should always be two lines on a fresh ovulation test, they don’t normally test the pregnancy hormone until you’re pretty far into your cycle. A faint line on an ovulation test means you’re not ovulating yet, a dark line on it means you will ovulate within 12-48 hours. Doesn’t mean pregnancy

Well, considering you haven‘t given much context on what type of cycle you have, the answer is inconclusive. However, note that these OPKs test for the Luteinising Hormone (and sometimes estrogen as well) ergo an extra dark line (perhaps darker than the control line) means you have hit the peak ergo would ovulate within the next 12-36hrs in some rare cases 48hrs. If you have the average regular 28 day cycle, then ovulating as early as day 10 is completely normal. The 28 day cycle fertility window is between day 7 (yes sometimes on the 7th day of your period if you have a beyond average 7 day period) and day 17. This gives you 10 unsafe days if you‘re not trying to conceive and 10 chances if you are. It is therefore recommended to start trying every or every other day during this window without protection to give yourself the highest chances esp. if trying to skimp on OPKs in the long run.
