For those who think spaying/neutering is cruelty, I ask: Is it less cruel to have stray female cats getting impregnated by every stray male cat, over and over again? To have kittens dumped (sometimes in plastic bags)? Or cats dumped at local parks, where the females naturally attract males whenever the former are in heat? Yes, kittens are cute. They can't help it. But kittens, if they survive, grow up to be adult cats. Animal shelters are already full of unwanted cats (and dogs and other animals). I don't want animals in shelters to be euthanized because there's no more room to shelter them. They deserve happy forever homes (preferably after being spayed/neutered). (Sorry for the rant, but it's something that's bothered me for a very long time.)
