Hi Totally Studios! What Principal Simpson did to teacher Miss Fisher is called injustice and discrimination. All single and parenting moms deserve to get ahead and have respect. Miss Fisher had the respect of the students and I'm glad that all the students defended theirs teacher and her right. I have a few criticisms about this video. The message was pretty good, though I believe it wasn't delivered well. The exposition about the teacher being the best of the class dosen't really present why she shouldn't be fired and that she's an independant woman. We're just *told* that she is without being *shown* that she is a good teacher ( I.E. she dosen't really teach the class in a way that can make us believe she's good at it, she just mentions the subject and that's it. ). I also thought that it was strange how the teacher reacts to gullibly to the protesting ( I know these stories don't have to be mega-realistic, but it's very off putting given the setting. ). I hope the studios understand where I am coming from and I hope that they improve. 👍

I didn’t see the issue. Many private schools, ESPECIALLY religious schools, have codes of conduct/morality statements or statements of faith for their staff to ensure they reflect the values of the school. Teachers have to sign these upon accepting their work contract. If those morality values are violated, the school has the right to let them go. Now, if this pretend school had no such policy in place and Mr. Simpson was working from his personal preferences, he was out of line. But if a school is fairly conservative or religious, it’s pretty common for them to expect their staff to abide by certain moral standards.

I do personally still believe in marriage before pregnancy, but I also believe in acceptance and love. I really don't judge those who choose to have children before marriage or move on from men who were mistakes. Also, you can't fire somebody from being pregnant, not married, and who chooses not to get married. That's their business. I have several friends and family, and couples, who have kids and still aren't married, even in my church. We celebrate the parents and the children as blessings from God, which they are. After all, God judges others based on our hearts, viewpoints, and attitudes towards others.
