Yutyrannus is my favorite dinosaur. It's basically the perfect counter to the "feathered dinos aren't scary" argument. Besides that, it's just a magnificent beast.

If you play Ark survival you will fear the Yuty, this mf is very fast and can ruin your moment with it's roar that makes everything around him lose control and run away, i still stay away from them unless i need them. Of course we have no way of knowing how scary they would be in real life, i prefer the way scaled dinos look but feathered death would still be scary. I really wish these creatures did go extinct and somehow we could have evolved together with them around.

@@Re-PhantomZero I SUCK at Ark, so I've never even been near their spawn points. Nothing wrong with scales, plenty of dinos still had 'em, what riles me up is when people just dismiss all the hard work paleontologists have done over the years 'cuz "it ain't cool anymore".

The Yutyrannus huali is a very interesting theropod and as an extra fact its bite force is 2405 Newton. Thank you Raptor Rex for the new video, best regards.

That's a pretty weak bite force hawfinches have a bite for of up to 700 Newtons and only weigh a few grams.

I love the Yute from my Ark days. Great story as always at the beginning. It always spices up these videos and puts you in their world so you can experience what they went thru day to day for a brief instant. Keep up the awesome work.

Great video - thanks a lot for creating & sharing! BTW that narration in the beginning was much fun. I had to think of the Marx Brothers, how a scene where they would have to catch chickens in a forest would have played out if they ever would have presented something like that. 😄

Theri has no real proof of feathers. You can only base this statement off of Beipiaosaurus. Yutyrannus, however, has real proof and direct evidence of feathers.

yep, an animal so large that a full coat of feathers would overheat it’s already well temperature body.

@@MesozoicLad back then, The climate changes everytime, sometimes rainy sometimes sunny, plus Therizinosaurus lived on the forests near the swamps so it really needs the feathers same as Deinocheirus.

@@MesozoicLadwhat if it wasn't fully feathered? maybe it had feathers is some parts of the body.

I would say that the feathers of yutyrannus were probabaly more downy for their main role of thermoregulation in a very cold climate. They could possibly be shaggier during colder seasons, but I'm not sure if dinosaur feather shedding is a thing! Proto-birds or toothed birds could be some more feathery friends for you to cover!

From an interested observer, other than Tarborsaurus and a inkling of others what was to become China seemed devoid of really large Theropods, the smaller raptorians, which it seems to be a quantum of species, appears to control this area

It really did get cold in northern climates so dinosaurs living there were well insulated and in the Arctic, it would have been dark part of the year.
