With swimming being added to the game, I wonder if they're going to re-reveal Baryonyx sometime in the near future. It was fully modelled and animated; they also revealed its vocalisations, which are still on Byron McKay's SoundCloud. I remember the old blog post mentioning that Byron used the sounds of balloons being rubbed and deflated, mixed with crocodile bellows.

It would make sense to have the baryonyx come out really soon if we have the animals in the water! Im so incredibly excited to see it. I love the baryonyx 💚

Baryonyx was confirmed to be save to be released during Early Access, along with Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Allosaurus, Megaloceros, and Ursus spelaeus. These are from the original EA 50 species list. Others mentioned on that list are not scrapped but will definitely not come during EA

Oh, dear, they revealed Spinosaurus and it's absolutely stunning

Sweet and short, the Ouranosaurus looks gorgeous! I´m happy it's added, as it brings a nice bit of variety to the ornithopods. It's hard to think of any other ornithopod that is a heavy hitter for the near future. I'm excited to try out the Grassland biome and create tropical savannah exhibits

I took a break from this game awhile back cause it need some more time to cook. Its nice coming back and seeing the things they have added to the game. Its really one of those games where i feel like i can take a break from being adult and just relax

i like the idea of semi aquatic things, sense one of my fav animals is the loon, smth like a smaller spinosaurid with silly little duck feet swimming around would be amazing
@kickerwhitelion762611 ай бұрын
They mentioned buoyancy. Which makes me wonder if different animals will have different buoyancy with Sauropods being like a pool floatie and ankylosaurs would just sink like a rock.
@MrsTeaRex11 ай бұрын
Omg we need to do a sink or float video!!! Yas!

its look awesome amazing the Ouranosaurus looking awesome

already with the swimming, dinosaurs/creatures that would be awesome, prestosuchus and postosuchus for the utilising best of both terrestrial and aqautic life styles. huge crocidillians like purrussaurus and deinosuchus for that scary florida experience, or even more layed back enclosures with lurdusaurus or maybe even the not very well known liaoningosaurus. so many possibilities from 1 feature alone. (and thats without syaing anything about fully aquatic reptiles/creatures)

I'm pretty sure prestosuchus and postosuchus weren't semi-quatic like that...

So excited for this 🎉

This looks really good. I can't wait to try everything out when I save enough money for a PC in 2025! But for now, dev diaries and Mrs TeaRex will have to be enough.

I hope they are making features that blocks water with other structures or special tank mechanic So I make guests to be able to see animals swimming through glass from underwater
@MrsTeaRex11 ай бұрын
I agree! Fingers crossed they add custom glass tanks

It sounds like the devs are considering fully aquatic animals
@i.m.evilhomer508411 ай бұрын
Mosasaurus and Plesiosaurus were planned for the game when they were kickstarting the game, to the point of being fully modelled, but were cut for whatever reason.
@NewAge37411 ай бұрын
Nope, that's not what it sounds like. The literal words they use is ¨some SEMI-aquatic animals¨. But considering the applicability of this term is murky even with modern animals, it is far to broad to even start speculating. After all, are moose semi-aquatic because they eat underwater foliage? Are basilisk lizards semi-aquatic because they escape by running across the water surface? Where do you draw the line?
@i.m.evilhomer508411 ай бұрын
@@NewAge374Semi-aquatic basically means anything that shows adaptations to live both on land & IN the water. E.g. Crocodiles, most frogs, hippos, mudskippers.
@NewAge37411 ай бұрын
@@i.m.evilhomer5084Sure, but what is the default condition and what is an adaptation? A lot of animals can swim, stay afloat even though most of their life is spent on hard ground. Human babies have a breath-holding reflex when underwater that they lose after the first few months. Hippos are a weird case because they needed to readapt to living on land (after losing their hair and sweet glands) and they don't technically swim! Amphibians are weird too because there are species that during their lifetime becomes less dependent on water, while others cannot leave aquatic or extremely humid environments in their lives. Do you get what I'm trying to say? Being terrestrial or aquatic is a spectrum and trying to define anything in between is so broad that we can hype ourselves up for expectations that are bound to be broken. What they're adding in the future to PK we'll see when it comes.

Devs should be more careful hyping the community on aquatic and semiaquatic creatures, we are gonna crazy on names, dynamics and possible designs lol
@NewAge37411 ай бұрын
They don't ask players to create the game and come up with technical solutions. They are just hearing out what people would like to see. Whatever they do with that information has no compromise on their part. Honestly, you cannot say ¨I want Mosasaurus¨ and then be disappointed it's not coming. It's called adjusting expectations: a very useful trick to learn when you're trying to live a happy life
