@@aminan3088 My IVF was changed to an IUI at the last minute because I didn't have enough follicles for IVF >4. Mine were 3folicles. So I tried the IUI and unfortunately it didn't work. I will try another IVF in January.

Same! My doctor told me I should do PGT-A tasting because of my age but it didn't feel right. So I prayed I would know what to do. Here is my answer.Thank you doctor.

Thank you doctor. Unfortunately I live in Italy, otherwise I would be followed by your team. I watched many of your videos and it is great to finally understand how ivf works and the latest updates

My clinic did the genetic testing without my knowledge. And they told me it came back normal and here’s $5k bill. I only had one blastocyst but it was 3cc. Later I transferred that embryo, it didn’t implant. I’m curious if the testing and freeze and thaw made the embryo even worse.

Isn't it sad when embryo testing is being promoted for commercial reasons rather than for the well being of potential desperate parents.😔?

Are you saying the even chromosomal abnormalities such as Trisomy 21,2,15 and Monosomy 2 aneuploid embryos can correct themselves or does this correction only apply to mosaic aneuploid embryos? Thank you!
@hidezgrl4818 Жыл бұрын
There should be no intermittent code number embryos, it should be either euploid or aneuploid embryos. PGT-A testing is super inaccurate. There are so many studies showed that abnormal embryos result in healthy babies. PGTA testing is not accurate.

Dear Sir Greetings from India !! My egg reserve is very low. I could get only two embryos and both had aneuploidy. What are the chances of getting euploid embryos in the next cycle.
@pippilotta35113 жыл бұрын
Did you not listen to what he said? He said don’t test the embryos. If you have a small egg reserve it is not beneficial for you to genetically test.

Is this doctor saying chromosome abnormal embroyos can correct themselves? An embroyos can stop having downs syndrome??
@pippilotta35113 жыл бұрын
Yes. It’s called mosaic embryo. Even euploid embryos can have parts of them aneuploid. Up to 20 percent to be precise. That’s the part the PGTA machines can’t detect. However the embryos can self correct. Actually a high percentage of them according to studies. The ones that don’t self correct end up in miscarriage. The ones that make it to birth have all been healthy.
@Momo-kq9hd3 жыл бұрын
I’m curious too. What about Down syndrome in older women. They do happen.
@gagaxg50422 жыл бұрын
The doctor did not go in detail. The chromosomal abnormality is not defined here. If the a complete chromsom is missing or additional, e. g. Down syndrome, then self correcting would not help. If only some fragments are missing within the chromosome, then self correction would play its role.
@hidezgrl4818 Жыл бұрын
The testing is inaccurate because it does not test the actual embryo, but an outside placental area, which can have genetic errors as it divides quickly. There are many women who transferred abnormal embryos and had normal healthy babies.

Check your data, dr. The PGD/PGTA indeed improved the IVF outcomes greatly. This video is too old...
@pippilotta35113 жыл бұрын
Actually that’s not true. His data is correct. I guess you’re referring to PGTA testing which is just a new name for PGS. It hasn’t improved the outcome / life birth rate either. Please don’t post things like that that can be harmful to many women.

@@mattysco see my comment below. Also, as it was explained to me, there are multiple reasons for that. 5 days embryos that appear normal can still carry abnormalities. And frozen embryo transfers have a higher pregnancy success rate.
