Especially if you are Black, ER GG IN gets rearranged into a different word right from the get go.... And it's not Ginger 😂
@lisannebaumholz50289 ай бұрын
Gingernuts are hard ginger biscuits (cookies) which are easier to eat after dunking into hot tea. Of course, Tim knew that this would be taken as a double entendre, thus emphasizing his point about our knee-jerk reactions to the language we hear, use and choose not to use.

Tim is Brilliant. He an amazing talented lyricist and the double meaning of these lyrics. . Am I only Aussie who’s never walked around in bare feet lol. As for being a ginger, redhead, as a child my brothers said my hair was red because my brains were rusted lol. Oh yes, picked on a bit about my red hair as a child. I can laugh now lol. But I always wanted, what I thought was normal black, blonde or brown hair lol. But in my 70s, I’m still not completely grey, yippee, it’s faded to a champagne colour, when many of my friends have been colouring their hair for years lol.

Tim is brilliant, intelligent, funny and fantastic on the piano. Not sure if you picked up the misdirection at the beginning..you were supposed to think the word was that one that begins with N. But then sings about gingers. However thats another misdirection, as the song is actually about that first word just using ginger as a safe word to broach the subject. Oh and Bo is like Tim! Bo says tim was a huge influence!

always fun to see if the reactor picks up that the two words are spelled with the same letters. often not. and that the topic and the subject are not the same.

As a fellow Australian we love bare feet or thongs ( not underwear) The wild hair and dark eyes is very much Tim's look He is super talented he composed songs for the musical Matilda, he writes serious songs as well as comedy songs and a awesome beat poem called storm

If you rearranged those 6 letters, do you think you could find a word that started with N, to give you better context for the song.

Tim never wears socks or shoes on stage That’s his real hair He is a lyric genius He is one of the best panioist I’ve seen He is also a actor and had his own mini series React to his song Darkside. Another great song
@pedromarques207710 ай бұрын
Tim always performs with is bare feet. Also, he predates Bo Burnham, who actually lists Tim as one of his major influences. Also, that's his real hair. Besides being a classical trained pianist, Tim also attended drama school, so his whole personna on stage was something he carefully crafted himself, from the hair to his makeup and wardrobe choices. This only shows a very tiny bit of Tim's outstanding piano skills and of his wordplay. He's also quite controversial and will not really hold back on his views and opinions, no matter how hard the subject his. This song was something he composed after using the N word in one of his songs and being highly critictized for people calling him racist when the context was purely satyrical and had actually nothing to do with racism. If you want to check his piano skills I advise checking the song "Darkside" (Awesome Version) from this same show, or for his controversial context and word play the song "Thank You God", from a special he did with a full orchestra backing him. He's not only a great comedian, lyricist or pianist, he's one of the best performers of our generation.

"While discrimination against people with red hair has occurred for thousands of years and in many countries, in modern times it has been described as particularly acute in the United Kingdom, where there have been calls to designate red hair a protected characteristic covered by hate crime legislation." Australia and the UK are pretty notoriously discriminatory towards Redheads, Ranga(Orangutan) in Australia is a particularly derogatory term commonly used towards Redheads, among other things.. Violent Crimes against Redheads in the UK have spiked in recent years, including Stabbings. Most recently in 2023 a Red-haired girl, 13, was stabbed 'by boy making fun of the colour of her hair'. I grew up in the US in the 80s, and remember quite a lot of bullying for my red hair, and not just me but other red heads I know (including Family Members) also remember quite a lot of bullying. So I'm a little surprised to hear you haven't, but it's good that you didn't. I'm guessing you're a fair bit younger so that seems like it's gotten better..

Tim had a series of shows at the Sydney Opera House. This was from that show. There are a number of other uploads of other songs that are excellent. That is his actual hair, and yup. He is definitely a ginger. Also Tim gave a graduating speech to Western Australia, which is thought provoking.( a couple have quite strong language, so pretty much everyone on the world will be OK (except people in the USA)) kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6Colq2QeZxkqcU Enjoy!!!

It's a parallel innuendo song. Draw a parallel between ginger and "N" You can only use the "N" word if you belong to that group Tim wrote the Musicals Matilda & Groundhog Day. He's an actor singer songwriter director. The Hair is part of the chaotic character of his art.

Tim deliberately chose his stage appearance because he felt that as most of his act is sitting at a piano the audience would not be able to see him easily, so he uses eye make-up to accentuate his facial expressions and the wild hair to make him look bigger. The bare feet? It's an Aussie thing.

Heyo voodoo! :) That's a very valid question lol, I don't think that anyone else has asked that before. The door leads into a small walk-in closet that keeps some of my shoes, jackets, and jackets. There are also a few random things that have to do with seasonal decorations, but most of it is related to clothing. The closet doesn't have too much space but it's enough to store what doesn't go in my typical dressers. Thank you for asking, hopefully the door didn't seem to ominous lol. Also, thank you for coming by to check out the reaction, I appreciate your time. Have a great rest of your day! :]

Hi! Great reaction. You should definitely take look at his song "Thank You God" and his kind of poetry slam style "Storm".
@nickrenshaw47339 ай бұрын
I think you totally missed the point of the song. It’s not about the spelling of prejudice itself. It’s the rearrangement of the of letters G-G-R-E-I-N. One of the words is GINGER. The other is quite possibly the most controversial words of all time that totally belongs to and only to these people. And for damn good reason especially during these times. That’s exactly why it’s an especially prejudicial song that pushes comedy right to edge of humor.

Not even a hint that you caught onto his misdirection, making us think he's referring to the infamous N-word "GG RE IN - rearranges two ways, "ginger" is only one way). That misdirection is the cleverest, most insightful, and most stunning part of the song so I can only assume not mentioning it means you missed it? Tim deserves better. If you react to more of his stuff, you might need to listen more closely.
