I think that's part of why you don't see a whole lot of high kicks from top fighters against top fighters. If it's there, you take it. But just asking for trouble if the opponent has good counters. Immediate take-down for Hutch, but he didn't know what to do with it on the ground when they landed with him in side control. Edwards knew what he was doing, getting to half guard and then getting Hutch in arm bar + triangle. I think he could've finished him if he'd arched his back when he had the arm bar. Prob'ly something I don't understand. Edwards is still early in his career in this bout.

I definitely agree with the Bolanos vs Hatley decision at all. The commentators are annoying. In one fight they’ll say “he needs to do more than take down. Remember takedowns are just a position change. “Next fight “again with the take down! If he keeps that up the fight will be his!” All Hatley did was wrap up Bolanos and lay on him and get punched, kicked and elbowed in the head and face by him.
