I am from Villingen in black forrest, Schwarzwald, where this was recorded.......now I prefer german language ...never heard a greater interpretation of BACH....the only....reason to live sometimes for me ....ach so wegen deutsch und so......Bach ist für mich so wie das Erwachen, die Gnade....der TROST::::...und Gulda interpretiert Bach ganz wunderbar....

When he started to ornamented, I said: OK, he can also do that, maybe in a mode a bit quiet; But the ornamentacion goes developing more and more and he find a huge intensity at the end of the repetitions. I think is one of the best non historical, but historically informed version that I ever heard.

Good slow pace here, but The Richter version somehow has the perfect balance between tempo and smooth movement.
