Playing first horn on Siciliano was so terrifying because of the fact that it’s just first and third horn at the beginning and D is a lot harder to start cleanly than Bb 😂

I loved these songs so much because they were instrumentally even. As a euphonium, I didn't usually see much melody, but this piece really delivered for the low brass.

I have a long relationship with this piece.. Last year, in middle school, we sight-read it and everyone loved it for weeks, then it came up again and I got to play a different part in Orange County's (nope, Florida) All-County band, and now I get to practice another part for my school's spring concert coming up soon. Really, I love it.

Everyone is saying siciliano but tbh I like it when my band plays rondo, in the state of texas we have a reputation for being aggressive with our sound so rondo fits us better, only really the first chairs have a decent melodic sound, but we’re getting there
