Ok this is me replying to that guy that wrote an essay about Aang beating Korra: 1. Korra easily beats the 12 year old Aang easily. Sure Aang in his prime might beat Korra in S4 but thats still not Korra in her prime. Aang LITERALLY won his fight with Ozai using a Deus Ex machina, which was a literal ROCK. He lost his connection to his avatar state after he nearly ENDED the ENTIRE avatar cycle. But when he is literally losing he somehow regains it? Also, you complaining about Korra being weak but saying her "mastering" 3 bending styles in 5 years is impossible. No it's not. The show is LITERALLY telling you she is that strong. Also you saying the "groundbreaking" things in the show make it bad. You know why they always had major plot shifts and big characters every season? It's because originally the creators of the show only had 1 season confirmed by Nickelodeon. This happened to all the seasons. They would think it's the last and at the end of the seasons production Nickelodeon would say you guys are renewed for another season. 2. Also the whole point of showing the new bending ways is to SHOW that the world has progressed, and left the old forms of bending and isn't connected to the roots anymore. You also saying it's a "plot device" is dumb as it is only there as a feature to introduce us to the new characters and moves the plot forward, and doesn't contribute in the Chekovs gun at all in any seasons. 3. Korra LITERALLY had more character development than Aang. Korra went from being a hot-headed, arrogant Avatar to a humble, down-to Earth, stable and better Avatar after the end of S3. Her being a 'vegetable' literally changed her, mentally and physically. Her whole deal with PTSD was showing her problems and character arc. If you are complaining one thing that she isn't strong enough and that she only survived because of plot armour, that has got to be some of the most ignorant things ive heard. 4. The villains are awesome, but not as good as Ozai due to previous mention of Nickelodeon trying to Sabotage TLOK. Korra was weakened in all her fights, with Amon she couldn's use 3 of her bendings, with Unalaq she LITERALLY lost her avatar state (I agree with the ending was S2 was bad), with Zaheer she was POISONED and with Kuvira she was struggling with PTSD and was recovering from a near death experience. Imagine if Aang had to fight Kuvira and her giant PLATINUM robot, he wouldv'e gotten stomped, that's why the Gaang and the Krew had friends to help them. Platinum's melting point is 1700 celcius meanwhile Lava is a maximum of 1300 celcius, so no Bolin could not have melted it. The backstory of Amon that you called random, is to build character, which you said that the show doesn't have apparently. The 'random' backstory also gave us adult aang, toph and sokka so you can't complain about that that was amazing. About Unalaq, yes the ending doesn't really make sense and he didn't really have a strong enough motive, i agree, the second season was bad. Even the writers admitted this in S4. Zaheer's motivation meanwhile was completely justified. Watch the film theory video about Avatar The Last Airbender on youtube to find out. Avatar's and the Avatar cycle in general has caused a lot of harm to the world. It's seeing it from a different perspective that the Avatar is basically a god. Also they had to sacrifice the Air temple, this was a major point in the show for Tenzin too, It shows character for Tenzin, yet again which you complained about. Kuvira was basically Ozai 2.0, which i agree was a bit dumb, she wasn't too flushed out. 5. Tenzin was visiting his mother?!?!?! Bisons were the best method of fast transportation? Why would they not come via that way? how else would they come? Would you not visit your mother using the best available transport of today? The last scene, Korrasami, was controversial yes. Nickelodeon could NOT show romance between two women in that day, considering all the politics. Them putting that final scene in was a major point in TELEVISION HISTORY as many shows after were comfortable showing queer representation on screen. It was a major decision. Aight rant over. do you agree???

Zuko is top tier atla characters, here's my reasons why. *ZUKO'S CHARACTER DEPTH* Although all Zuko talks about is his honor in the first and second season, he redeems himself by going on the best character arc known to man. In the second season, it seems that Zuko is going to redeem himself for all he had done, live happy with his uncle in Ba Sing Se, but betrayed his uncle for Azula. Zuko had built a relationship with Katara in the cave, but with the option to either act with morality and save Aang, or to finally regain the honor that he had been searching for within his father, he took his honor. In his situation, this was a reasonable choice since it had been all he wanted up until then. In the beginning of season 3, Zuko constantly seeks help from his uncle, but lashes out when he's ignored due to Zuko imprisoning his Iroh, and he was saddened. He felt ashamed of everything he had done and wondered what had changed about him. He thought his father could restore his honor but knew it was something you earn for yourself by choosing to do what's right. From Iroh's words, Zuko realizes what kind of person he is and how he has to forge his own destiny. Zuko restores balance to the world with Aang, and ends the 100-year war, becoming the fire lord and creating peace throughout the nations. Zuko has so much depth as a character and probably has one of the best character arcs out of any fictional character. The events that he dealt with added complexity to his character. It's reasonable how Zuko looked for honor, only having one other parent in his life. He seeked acceptation from his father and the people around him to show that he is enough and capable.
