A challenge you can do is that, the number of signings you make depends on the number of departures in the season. You let go players in summer (not compulsory) and buy the same number of players in January. It would be so cool

A 46-game qualifying campaign (except for continental club competitions) feels weird, so I would've divided them into 12 double-legged ties with the winners qualifying for the group stage. Btw where tf is Ipswich? Didn't EA increase their players' ratings enough? Why the hell can't EA make the away goals rule optional (I don't want EA to take it out completely as FIFA still uses it for double-legged qualification ties)? It's much less common now than 3-4 years ago. If the away goals rule stay, the rule shouldn't be carried through to extra-time (e.g. how Porto advanced past Juventus in the 2020/21 Champions League). I also hope EA will add a 'conference' (when divided into groups, teams can play games against opponents in other groups, kinda like the MLS) option to their tournament mode.

The group stage would not be drawn randomly like that. There would be four pots of eight teams ranked in position order, with one team drawn from each pot into each group.
