In collaboration with Sports Direct, we put on The Trenches Showcase Event. We invited down 30 of the best young unsigned ballers in London and put on match. Premier League, Championship, League 1 & 2 scouts were all in attendance.

I am 24 years old, never been in an academy and making my way up after being out with a ruptured ligament for a year and a key thing is to keep that self belief because if you don’t even believe in yourself then how can others. VERY ENJOYABLE TO WATCH. These boys can play, they are knowledgeable and great pro tempo. I did not see impressive shooting (depends how old they are). Number 18 white, he's checked all the boxes, I think he would be more impressive if he can showcase shooting and power, from the 18 yard box. That's the question mark for his game for the next level. I think number 11 on white team has tremendous dribbling talent, there's a lot of spots that he could play. Number 7 black team the same. Do you guys do showcases with 7v7?

Neil Harris lives down my road (Millwalls top goal scorer ever) and he got signed for his first academy at 20 years of age so if your not in an academy by the age of twelve do not worry in a way it’s a good thing as academy ,from personal experience,can put you under a lot of pressure and make you lose your passion

Black Team Sidney was good had gd feet and dribbling think he's a WINGER though Julinho Gomes n emmanuel was good aswell Joseph the RB was decent just got tired in the second half White Team Sam Ince was very good just he's decision making could be better Calvin had a lot of energy getting up and down the left hand side Khayrie was the pick of the lot good dribbling and good decision making Gk Nathan was very good aswell
