I don't do It just to be different, but I usually have a BOTY that's a bit of an outlier. Like Viz Vs Pathogenic a couple of years ago. This could be mine this year. Extremely competitive battle. Rivers came out the gate firing, doing a round that should be hard to beat but I think Ark got him.2nd round was toughest but I'd just edge it to Rivers. Loved the Killa Season reference, and the 'Self preservation is inbred, it's all relative' bar is like one of those you wonder why it hasn't been thought of before. Ark with the stepping stone, and a nasty Blade Brown bar made it super close though. 3rd round, Ark left earth pulling the veteran special move with 'its embarrassing'. Loved the River Phoenix bar too. 2-1 Ark but like I said, it takes 2 to create BOTY and I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the year it's still mine, even if it's once again an outlier. Essay over.

Part of me before the battle thought Rivers might put up some sort of serious challenge to Ark here but it was a very clear 3-0 victory to Ark. In absolutely every element of battle rap Ark took this to the point that there's not even a point in breaking this one down. Personally I'd say Rivers absolutely embarrassed himself with the fake hard man persona he wishes to create about himself - maybe time to grow up? Rivers is a very boring writer - basically if you're white and you battle him then you're a racist......! Exact same angle against MacKenzie a while back now. Well done to Ark for staying professional and getting the job done like a real man when the opponent just wants to be petty. If Briggzy sees this then please give Ark a big big name next to see how he gets on against a fellow top tier.

Hmm, from the first round I thought Ark was going to walk it, but Rivers fought back hard and the second and third round were a lot closer than I thought they might be. I'm a fan of both of these guys but Ark arguably has better stage presence, delivery, and crowd control, so Rivers was always going to have to fight hard for the win. I'd say 2-1 Ark, but I could see how people might argue a 2-1 Rivers.
