Premiere Elements 2020 has a lot of bugs and is not worth the upgrade, so I am sticking with my 2018 system. Please leave these lessons up as long as you can. They are well done and very helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for your encouragement. Sad that PE 2020 is a disappointment to you. I'd love to see Premier Elements become more robust, but I suspect Adobe doesn't want to draw users away from Adobe Premier. --Jim

@@SharperTurtle If they don't want to lure users from Premiere, they should just maintain the 2018 version of Premiere Elements rather than seemingly rushing out half-programmed entities like 2019 and 2020, neither of which meet the stability standards of 2018 Elements. In any event, thanks for your good videos. I am doing well with 2018 thanks to your site and I plan to stick with that version, as should everyone else who is thinking about purchasing the 2020 version.

So after I have created a similar title with the motion or animation I want can I save all the presets or the title to re-use in another video? In this manner I would just have to change the text, but everything else would already be done.

Ron. Great question. You can do what you describe. I'll create a tutorial on how to do that and let you know when it's ready. --Jim

Does anyone know why I can't click on and change the fill colour? I want to create white subtitles on a black background. I read that the stroke and fill are only available on a preset, but I tried that and I still can't select them. Maddening when trying to create an accessible video. Thanks.

Andrew, Do you want to change the fill color on the face of the text or the background. I just tried doing both and didn't have any difficulty. Here is a link to a tutorial that might be useful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqGzm4aulNqgb6s --Jim

Did the tutorial I pointed to help at all? --Jim

@@SharperTurtle Being honest, Jim, no. I already know how to create a shape and place it behind the text, but that's twice the work of just being able to change the background fill of the text box, because the shape of the text box will change each time depending on how the text wraps.

Now I see what you are talking about. I don't know a way wo change the background fill in the text area. I'm failing to see a control in Premiere that allows for modification of that parameter. --Jim
