That's what I want too, for AE to get faster. But I think they can't do it because there are so many Plugins, Scripts and project templates that can break if you rewrite AE code. And also even just rewriting the whole program from scratch would be quite long and difficult.

After effects is NOT a 3D software, no matter how many new 3D features they add, it'll ALWAYS be laggy and mid-range quality. Adobe should rather focus on new features for motion graphics, VFX and such.

@@TimelyAdventure I'm not paid by Adobe unless they commission a one-off project (which I would disclose by FTC guidelines). I made my brand, but think of Premiere as more of an adjective. I mainly use Adobe apps, but I dabble in others. As you see this is After Effects, I've also done tutorials in Luminar, Runway, Capcut, Filmora, and gear reviews. I don't think I'd switch to Davinci, unless it saved me time -- right now Pr is more stable.

This is how Adobe releases now, they bring them in beta first so users can test and report bugs, then bringing it into the regular release. Helps insure the main apps are more stable!

This is fantastic! These new features are impressive. At this rate, Blender, Maya, and Cinema might soon be left in the dust, with After Effects taking the lead. Also, love the '90 vibe for new text presets. In the next version, I'd love to see the removal of all 2D features- no more struggling with laggy and useless tools like shape layers and vfx effects!

There are 4 substance related apps, the one we used here is simply for painting and adding materials to 3d models, there's more it can do but we have yet to research it all :)

No, it’s a different set of programs, mostly about creating and applying materials to objects. It’s not for 3D animation.

QUESTION: Can you use sample vst plugins in Premiere? The kind that you can press a key on a keyboard the make a sound at a particular point. Another way of stating it... can you "score" in PP? That would be cool if you could just open sample, create an audio track and start recording. It must be possible. What do you think? Can you please ASK ADOBE to do this? Would be huge.

This update is not that great. But what's worse is the fact that you subscribe to the "all apps" plan and it doesn't include the Substance apps. What's worse is they removed (instead of just fixing) the simple 3d tools in PS telling you to go to Substance (again not included in the All Apps plan) when all we needed was some simple 3d features like lighting, and other things all while illustrator, after effects are getting 3d tools that are half assed and only really work if your bring Substance in. Adobe is lost and these gated features to try and upsale or force you into another package is crazy. Good video but anytime i see a 3 app Substance suite which all cost more yet you really need all 3 even though you have the all apps subscription that includes a million worthless apps and 5 good ones just triggers me :|
