I may never implement John's techniques note for note, but it keeps me humble knowing that there is a world of untapped knowledge out there waiting to be shared.

It's a new goal of mine to get comfortable playing slide on my pinky finger like John does. So much more versatile and frees up your other fingers to fret notes and chords!

You Know I have been racking my mind for the simplistic idea of playing slide with Regular "A" 440 tuning. I'm blown away at the simplistic way you put it, in your vid. Wow now I am a Spycomatic Slidomatic that just "Can't Stop" I didn't want to even stop to write this. Thanks man Great Tutorial. Slide Guitar "Rocks"!!

Great lesson, John. Very practical, useful stuff that doesn't require a tremendous amount of prerequisite skills to get a hold of. You're a great instructor and very humble. Cheers!

That's some kind of amazing sound you're getting from (your fingers) & that guitar. I'm surprised that you didn't mention Mr. Jeff Beck, who is kind of a senior and an inspiration-I'd BET on it-to Trucks, (who's no slouch himself), when you were talking about great finger-pickers/players who don't use picks. Too many players to choose from, I guess. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Great stuff John! I could hear a little Beck in there to. 8) Stewmac.com has a nice glass slide with a bevel on the inside. Once I got it it's all I have used!

Thanks a lot for the video, John. Great playing and guitar sound. Do you recommend the small size Blues Bottle for a pinkie?

I like the Dunlop blues bottle because it's light. But I have some metal slides like my Tony Whelan slide that sounds amazing, It depends on the music. Thanks
