He played with a smile and freedom rarely seen these days and had one of the sweetest left foots you could wish to see. He might have won more trophies with Manchester City but he lost his smile. Leicester fans may disagree, but I respected the fact that Mahrez stayed at Leicester until it became clear they were going nowhere before asking to leave. Kante, on the other hand, was out the door in a flash.

I agree I remember that well. I was thinking "what is he still doing at Leicester, and Vardy too". They kicked Ranieri away, went off the CL, and started to play average. Then he left. Months after the ship was sinking

But again, Kante left with no problem or drama while Mahrez refused to train and play in the middle of the season. We hated Mahrez, well most of us have forgiven him, including me, I don't hate him but don't love him either, but I guess there are those who haven't.

Lost to Sevilla in the first leg and were definitely going to lose the second leg if he wasn't sacked. The team performance was boosted after he was sacked proving it was the right decision. Please don't talk about "kicking him" without knowing about the situation, I'm tired if other fans not knowing about the situation talking like Ranieri was sacked for no reason.

Manchester City didn't won the UCL in 2015/16. They barely lost to Real Madrid in the semis. Also, Manchester City didn't actually won the Quadruple in 2021/22 as they also lost to West Ham United in Carabao Cup. It was Liverpool that had almost achieved a Quadruple in 2021/22.
