Andy Goode “No force it that at all”? Player off for HIA, we are either serious about head injuries or we are not. Who did he play for? Xx

Bristol supporter here, got to feel from Mike Brown, all pretty instantaneous. Penalty yes but yellow? Great defence from Leicester up to that point but love Briz's desire to throw the ball around.

rugby at its finest, what the purists don't want to get is that people want to be entertained, if you want to attract new fans that's the way the game should be heading to. how beautiful to not see the ball kicked from the 22 like it's the case 99% of time?

I personally couldnt give a toss about attracting new fans! Or growing the game or making rugby an attractive product blah, blah. Bring back amateurism I say!

@@gprugby fair enough, be aware that If You Don't attract new fans rugby is going to die like it is happening in the English league with empty stadium and team going bankrupt. Look at the French movement...

You can't play rugby like that for 80 minutes and it's only great to watch when it works.

Great game, but it would be better to punish teams who foul by having a try scored under a penalty as an automatic conversion...

Terrible ref no yellow card, once again ref influincing the game. Rugby has gone backwards far too mant laws and most take away the real rugby which we love watching, eg. the scrums.

Browns yellow card was very harsh,. The news laws are killing the game.

Stood up right and made head contact that's a yellow anyday it was only unfortunate because he already had a yellow but the yellow card itself wasn't harsh

@@harveygould6543 Killing the game or killing players? Doddie weir, Rob Burrow, and how many others who aren't as high profile so aren't public knowledge - the studies have shown rugby players are 15 times more likely to develop MND than the average person. The stats are equally grim, if not worse, for Dementia, Alzheimer's, and other neurological conditions. There is a very obvious link between serious debilitating and life shortening conditions such as those mentioned, and playing rugby. Now we all accept a burden of risk when we walk onto that pitch. We know we're putting our body on the line and we know it may result in a serious injury. But the simple fact is Brown did not need to make the tackle he did. He had plenty of time to pull-out of it. He may have still contacted Van Rensburg but he would then be absolved of responsibility - he did what he could to avoid danger and it wasn't enough, unfortunate. But that's not what he did, he decided to commit to the tackle, and as a result hit Van Rensburg in the head. That one knock may never cause him any long term harm, or it may be the last knock needed to ensure he develops dementia by 50, we cannot know. The laws are there to protect player's safety. They've been there for years at this point. So either learn to break your habits and get better at avoiding head contact when you can, or be like Mike Brown and complain from the sidelines that your reckless tackle was undeserving of a yellow card.
