Yes because coaches are deveop for 30-35 railways should develop trains wisely for future requirements as if government want india a developed country by 2047.... They are giving subsidy on sleeper,2AC ,and 1st AC......why not on 3rd AC...... remove subsidy from other classes and give in 3rd AC and then increase 3AC coaches..... then people will choose 3AC over sleeper happily.....

I feel, AC is not luxury rather a neccesity in a hot humid country like ours. AC generals, AC sleepers( 3 tier ECON) and rest above should only be manufactured. Dignity and comfort matters, even if railways lose a lit more money. Its a public entity need to support public of all class.

Practically ac general coach is not possible. Because the stink will remain inside if the coach is dirty. And general coach doesn't have limited people. So it's not a viable option and open coaches are the best.

Superb thinking bro, The discussed proposal can be reviewed by following points - 1. The above proposal is not 100% feasible for long distance popular superfast/ mail /express trains because we have an upper restriction limit of maximum 24 coach which can be accommodated in the Indian railway platforms. In the meantime railway have huge pressure to accommodate maximum Non-AC travellers. So, how to include one more coach section (premium sleeper) in long distance trains where there are already: GS/CC, SL, 3AC, 3E AC 2 AC, 1 AC sections. 2. If you think to include a premium sleeper coches in a long route over night Intercity trains like Rajya Rani Express and all then it can be planned accordingly. 3. It cannot be included in Amrit Bharat Express also because the present designated rake composition shows 24 coaches already allotted. Moreover, there is a huge demand for these Amrit Bharat trains. So, railways will generally think to accommodate more passengers to give maximum service to the majority of its commuters. N.B. Can be feasible for Vande Metro/ Rapid Rail train if government wants to extend its service to upper/ lower middle class section of the society. Thanks for reading. Happy Diwali. Jai Hind

We can say, the SLEEPER class is the "NON-AC 3 TIER" class. I think, there should be "NON-AC 2 TIER" and "NON-AC 1ST CLASS" in a train. Those passengers, who are not comfortable with AC, can avail the comfort of "2 TIER" and "1ST CLASS".

In the 1990s and before, there were non-AC 2 tier and 1st class in use. Non-AC 1st class coaches were cheaper than 3AC class.

AC ki wajah se hi 3E mehenga hai. Non AC 2-tier can be much cheaper than 3E and 3A both and slightly costlier than SL.

❤❤❤Initially they shd put 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10am Tejas like or simple trains that can run 11.30min train to patna from Delhi as simple as that... Full seats on first run first go initially for next 3 days according to first basis run schedule keep 20%seats a emergency fare w an increase of 20% base fare simple initial 3 runs ie 3,4,5am seating 100% B completed first then 20 that's all till 5am non stop runs, quota to start after 5am or initial have 20qouta as reaches kanpur etc after 5hrs for kanpur 20%seats available

For 700km journey the base fare of sleeper is Rs 360 which has revovery ratio of only 60% so the actual cost of sleeper is Rs 600. If premium sleeper with 6 berths coupe is designed then the coat should be between Rs 660-780. As temperatures are increasing and also income levels the present 3ACE fare should be fixed at GR fare @ Rs 660-720 and add 3 3ACE coaches to every train making 12 AC coaches 5 SL and 4 GS instead of another sleeper class. Already indian trains have many classes.

I guess triple-deck sleeper arrangement similar to a sleeper bus in night trains, but with 3 decks on both sides instead of the usual 2. This setup allows for more sleeper berths, increasing passenger capacity and potentially reducing costs to double the standard sleeper fare

Abhi currently sirf 2 solutions chahiye 1. Sleeper coaches mein Waiting list/Unreserve wale board na kare aur 2. Only 3A coaches rakhe, instead of 3E. That's enough comfortable journey..

I think Railways ko AC general class introduce krni chahiye like metro trains. Jinme seats reserved nhi hoti. These coaches would carry 200 - 250 persons in a single coach hence Railways' cost of operating these coaches will be quite profitable. And a young person like me will not have to bear the coast of booking 3rd AC seat (which is generally 500 to 700 Rupees) for a minimal distance of 200 - 300 kms just to escape the tough summer and winter season of India. I can happily pay 150 - 250 Rupees for the same distance in AC general class though I may end up complete this journey either standing or sharing my seat with fellow passengers yet it will help me save my money moreover it will help me escape the shivering hot of May - June and cold of December - January.. What do you think guys about this idea. ??🙏

Railways used to have 1st class coaches without AC. Everything was like today's ac coach but with two big windows with bars. When I was a child. I had travelled in them. So they had this concept. As everything was made AC. They dropped the idea. Today. Railways has capacity issues. Lots of waiting. So they would rather keep sleeper coach with maximum passengers than introduce 2nd tier or first class non AC coaches. Not gonna happen.

Bhai early 2000s me ese coach exist krte the with name 'First class' which were fully removed from trains till 2015 These coaches were non AC but had cabin and coupe like First AC And railways also had a class of 'Sleeper 2 tier' which were like 2nd AC but non AC which were also removed So I don't think railways will bring back these ...

We are in a transition phase . So things look very confusing. Railways will after lot of permutation and combination, strike the right balance of different class of coaches. Most important is that general crowd should not be allowed to enter reserved class .

Modi govt is going ahead with amrit bharat stations but the first basic thing should be extend all platforms of these new station to accommodate 26 LHB coaches. 22 LHB coaches is way too less in present scenario. We had trains of 26 icf coaches too.

6 people cabin is not economically viable for Indian Railways , instead sleeper premium should be 8 people cabin with wider berth compared to current sleeper berths . And services like providing warm water in the journey for needy ( like Asthma or Allergic patients who never use A.C ), service chargeable bed sheets, blankets during rainy and winter journeys must be considered as cold 🥶 air comes into the coaches from the doors and windows .
In my opinion complete separation of AC & Non- AC trains and introduction of more Amrit Bharat & Garib Rath(LHB) would work massively in Crowd management

This is not correct because everyone has seen how much rush there is in sleeper and even if sleeper premium coach comes, the rush will not be less and more money will be spent. I am saying this because in a sleeper coach there are 72 or 80 seats and sleep is 72 or 80 but there is waiting list and local passengers from short distance will come.

If railway use push-pull insert of Vanda Bharat with many different like lico look like Vanda Bharat, it also nice idea, because in many countries Push-pull trains are so successful. If in 2019 railway use Tejas-locomotive in Tejas-train as push-pull and name as Vanda-Bharat then at 2024 we say Push-pull trains are Vanda-Bharat. It's all first come and first serve. Once again I am not feeling jealous from Vanda Bharat I have many pics with Vanda-Bharat in socialmedia
