Man, the ending got me. She was so happy, innocent and full of life in the beginning. At the end, she was a traumatised, disturbed little girl filled with fear. I can't even begin to imagine what happens to other real kids who are the unfortunate victims of this trauma. We need to protect our children. We need to be better people.

What a great film! Great story, direction, cast , acting, making. It is so touching. The last long sequence of his struggle to hold on to his kid is so heart breaking. In the end he with a broken heart, let her go. So well done. Expecting a great feature length film from the team.

Yeah, this was painful to watch. As soon as he said that the photo had to be neutral, I believed that something was up. I really wanted to hear both sides. Whether or not he was a bad guy, he should have briefed his daughter on the plan and an explanation. It was very heart breaking. I was reminded of how a large amount of kidnappings are just a parent taking their children.

So many fathers lose their children to the courts automatically. Just automatically.

I wish that there was a way to prove this to the KZbin audience. I think that they still see men as the villains.

Wow poor dad, I understand his position. My wife and I had an argument about her having an affair and in the end she framed me of physical and sezuk abuse. I couldn't afford a lawyer and lost the case. She took my only daughter to Switzerland adni am I drr house arrest

That’s horrible! She’s clearly in the wrong here, you don’t deserve any of this. Hopefully one day you’d be able to find a way to get custody of your daughter. Hoping for the best

You have my sympathies. For such accusations, there needs to be innocent until proven guilty.

Gods! I thought he was going to jump out the window with her! This is what can happen when parents regard children as their 'possessions' and not people in their own right. The child should never be made to feel responsible for the parents emotional wellbeing. At the 'soft' end of this TOXIC scenario - they play loyalty tug-of-war and the child is stuck in the middle - often with life-long psychological damage. At the hard end, they kill the children (often NOT themselves) - just to hurt the ex-partner and 'not let them have them'. Some times parents lie - sometimes they poison the mind of the child against the other. Sometimes Courts get it wrong. Whatever happens - if you genuinely love your child - then you have to stop tugging at them. Unless they're in danger and you have to fight for their safety > Stand back. Sometimes you have to wait untl they're adults and hope they will come find you and want to have a relationshIp with you. If you leave that door open and make sure they know you love them - most times they will.

This was a tragic truth that can end badly, either way,for the child, who has least control of any-thing,at all. I was a custody kidnapping myself,at 8. I just wish there was more protection of the child in the child protective services, more service in finding out what parent did what & less making the child feel the villain when asked who would you rather live with? It's like asking the child which parent do you love more. I watched it to the end-it was very harrowing&so real. I wish something could tell us as the adults, which parent would be better for the child. Which living situation would hurt them less, with whom, dad?mum,?state?runaways?if the parents were not meant to be,they probably should have never been&again, never brought a child into their mistake marriage only to be used as bidding chip,to hurt one another or,like this papa seems,to have to take her because a court says he may not see her(,maybe mum too). How can we solve this, without abuse or trauma to the child?how do we know if either adult is lying or not about abuse to child or each other?this was so accurate,I wonder about the filmmakers. I wish the powers that be had the knowledge-for what,I don't know. Ask the child-maybe. -b not B

Yeah. Basically, don't make mistakes. The problem is that society should protect the child as much as possible, but the parents have rights, too. Being denied rights to see your kids must be traumatic. If you don't mind me asking, was there sexual or physical abuse between your parents and you?

Good, specially the final scene with the cops, but what’s the point? It looks just like a nihilist ending

For the girl, everything won't be alright, so it's the irony of the statement said both by the father and then the mother at the end. It's nihilist in the sense that the title phrase is a false promise.

Poor kid! The dad lured her with toys and used her the whole time in his selfish interest. I hope he never gets close to her again.
