Dude wasn’t a court officer he was a C.O. Downtown in central booking aka Brooklyn House of Detention and part of his duties was to transfer inmates from their cells to court and back. So because he did this he likes to say he wasn’t a C.O. and was a court officer but court officers are always stationed in court or in the court buildings like bailiffs always in court proceedings who ensure the judges safety or the officers in the waiting areas stationed at the service desk and he wasn’t none of those.
