Canadian MGTOW you're a moron in a multitude of levels. Besides the fact that the nonsense you speak has absolutely nothing to do with this video or my comment. But to address your ignorance bring black does not constitute being a thug. Nor does an assumption of a crime make you a criminal. It's also not a police officers right to exact judgement for a supposed crime. Lastly, unless your life is in jeopardy you do not have a right to shoot and kill someone. Take your ignorant trolling ass somewhere.

Man I remember a MANY days feeling this way... The courts see us fit to pay but not fit to have more than a weekend or a few hours. It can be such a defeatist feeling but your, our, MY motivation was/is my babies. I felt EVERY WORD you spoke Bro and the emotions were shared. Keep on speaking that verse Brother! Real Men Stand Up!

me too. I am a woman who watches, watched and have seen what it does to a man who loves his children, biological or not go thru those emotions. Now his kids are grown and don't understand how it hurts him that they don't call him. If they needed him he dropped everything to step up to plate and get them what they need. But never did they say thank you for being there. It hurts women too when your kids prefer to be with the other parent because "he/she let's me do whatever I want" until she/he cannot afford to buy your love anymore. These words are real. These accounts are true. So yeah I know it from both sides of the isle. My kids biological or not, know I am here even when they are not.

this is what it's like to be a single father. his pain, everything about it, is real. the color of your skin doesn't matter, single fathers are all the same..well the ones who will do anything for their child. I know the feeling..its tough. o don't see my son often enough. but I'll never miss the moments I'm with him. this poem is beautiful

+PrenticePowell1906 That one you did about niggas, saying we're hollering at his girl at the gas station, that is the truth. I totally respect you for your words and your bravery to say them. I am proud of you. I also write poetry but have never let anyone read them. Too scared. I takes, for lack of a better term balls, to speak the truth like you do and even more so to get people to listen.

Mr. Powell, I truly appreciate your delivery and sincerity. I am sure many fathers feel the exact same way; however, are not able to vocalize those feelings and emotions as eloquently as you did on the show. I am happy to say I had and still have a great father. He was not perfect; but, he was amazing to me and my sisters!! He did all he could with all he had and we knew he loved us everyday. How you make your child feel about the relationship between you and him will live on forever no matter what amount of time you have... make each visit, call, minute, second, moment count. He will remember it... You ARE the Father! You ARE the Daddy!! NO ONE can take that away from you... Keep up the good work and know you have been heard and awoken some of the sleeping giants... many will benefit. Thank you. I pray for peace and love for you and your son.

Write aletter to the judge, write a letter or note to your child everyday....or call ...even ifnthey are 5oo young to read or far away... save 5hem and it all to them the next time you see them... all a child wants yo know is that THEIR DADDY LOVES THEM AND THINKS ABOUT THEM EVERYDAY... pray everyday for guidance, strength, and wisdom. I wish you ane your child(ren)all the love and happiness you can have forever! Peace

I cried watching this, a few times each time I watched it over the past few years. I can relate to so much of what you said. Too many times I broke down after dropping off my son to his mother. It's a 2+ hour drive, each way, to pick up and drop him off. Finally, after 13 year, he is finally coming to live with me for his high school years. Thank you for expressing on TV what so many of us good fathers are going thru.

This touched me in so many ways. It hurts because I have a relative who has child in my family but they don't know how to be a parent, yet sees nothing wrong with it. Meanwhile, they are in a custody battle with the other parent. It's such an unfortunate situation because these people aren't even making it about the child- but about themselves.

10 yrs and 100k paid. I once was a store manager, 720 credit score, on my way to getting a house. I got married and she cheated on me then took me to child support for $650 a month for one child. The judge said it should be 1000 a month. I now live in a room, bankrupt from being left with the debt and all the stress cause many illnesses to arise. I learned that this story is a repeated story amongst the black community. I learned it’s not just my opinion it’s a fact that black women are not all queens. Even the ones that claim they are have the same instinct to survive by any means necessary. I’ve learned to never mess with a black woman again. I’ve been peaceful and happy since then

So many biological fathers are awarded ample visits and never show, here is a man who is screaming inside and outside for his right to ample time with his baby and it is not granted. Although we don't know the specifics of the reason why, it still seems like he genuinely cares and wants to be in his son's life forever!!! This hit home. I swear to God it's not fair to have the courts tell you that you have to pay child support or go to jail then on top of that, have to fight and pay for lawyers just to get visitation rights! What's even sadder, is that I meet so many women who wish the dads would be in their children's lives just for a weekend hell even a couple of hours just to get a break. If I were a deadbeat, I'd have my kids THROWN at me. But it seems that the guys who want to be in their kids' lives and do the right thing have to fight to do so and are met with resistance every step of the way. It's not right. I swear this hit home...

That's real. And these babymothers who makes it hard for the father's to be in the kids life when they want to be, why? Why deprive him of that chance to be the child's father? Why make it difficult for him to have a relationship with the child? If the relationship failed between the parents so be it but every father deserves the chance to be in the kids life. As much as the other parent. Especially when he wants too!

man i will tell you. there is not much in this world that hits me as hard as a ton of bricks fulling out the fifth floor window of the court house that I had been fighting for my fatherly right. I have been fighting since 2014 for my kids. knowing the insanity of then five days aweek i went with out my son till the next time i got to hold him for two days while i look at the only picture of the daughter that the only reason i know she was born was a mutual friend. dreading that the weekend soon will end. it took missing the first 10 months of my baby girls life court dates and dna test. I still have to fight as the only words i heard was you will never see your kids till you get a court order. now i have what is called shared custody 50/50 where i see my kids every other Thursday to Tuesday with split holidays. so you just dont know how deep this tore at my soul as my kids are only 40 miles away but for them 9 days I go insane as 40 miles really feels like it really is a million. so you keep you head up and fight as all of us fathers have to do.
