Meter boxes should be upgraded by the provider and not those who are using it. Eskom and municipality should have done this themselves. Shame on you for doing this to our people.

I feel for people who are poor. But if you are not paying, at least there should be measures in place to give out some free electricity which is capped to encourage using electricity and water wizely

FBE is 50 units a month. It's been like that since 2003. They need to give more units to people. People (elderly) on pension must get a special electricity price tariff.

The key issue at hand and the question this government should ask is how is it possible that such a big number of people aren't buying electricity mainly black.The answer is simple the majority are unable to keep up with the cost of living and how does eskom expect people who aren't able to provide mere food for themselves to pay for electricity which exceeds the cost of living.If I were these no-buyers I would continue not paying until this government comes up with a feasible plan and stop serving the rich and the minority mostly employed white people in the middle and upper class.Last time I checked electricity is classified as a need not a want.Dont tell me about the ESP's 100Kwh ,how long does that last ? If people are forced to bridge they will and Eskom technicians will face off in many communities.Take that as a warning.
