Airline pilot here. We would avoid all the red, since it's normally big cloud formations. But I can see in your video, that the clouds are above, so maybe you should try to point the radar in a +1,5 - +2,5 degrees upwards. You can fly into greenish-yellow clouds, if you can see it's saturated with a lot of rain, and stable pressure. Since the the weather-radar only picks up water droplets(red means bigger water droploets). Safe flying, and nice video !

the mis-approach vector you took went over the residential areas which I believe is a restricted area. The (Traffic) light you saw at the terminal is a special only to Terminal 2 in singapore , I believe. Also the airport is built on Reclaimed land and the islands on the sides on the approach vector are the Southern Islands of singapore and the Batam and Bintan islands of Indonesia

Great video. Request: There's a huge lack of Transatlantic flights here. Dublin is now 5th busiest Transatlantic hub in Europe. How about Dublin-Philadelphia? Or NY, BOS, Washington, SFO, Chicago etc? There all beautiful fights and are only 6 hours if you fly to the east coast. Like this!

Hello Matt! I would love to propose you an approach (or a take-off both are nice and interresting) in Sion, Switzerland. LSGS. It is basically a small "one way" valley with no ILS. But Since fighters lands there. I am sure you can go there with A32x or a 737! And the view is really beautiful with snowy mountains peaks!

In my experiance of flying into singapore with turbulence on decent, they usually just fly through it since its so common. Also on your missed pretty sure they dont fly towards the city due to the high rise buildings (never seen a plane over that way), i think they fly round the island again. As you discovered the scenery for singapore is very limited and wish they made a new one :/ Great flight though

You might not be able to fly directly to the North Pole, but you could do something like YGZ-YLT (Grise Fiord to Alert, Nunavut) in a 737 with a gravel kit!
