Abby Joseph Cohen hooked me up with a late-stage fund that got me in on private shares of some hot companies before they hit the market or blew up. Those investments totally paid off when the companies went public and their stocks shot up. Now, I’m stoked because I’m heading into retirement with almost a million bucks in my portfolio.

Sounds like a positive outlook on things then. So do you think it's best for us who are not conservative investors to focus on bonds or dividend stocks? I want to reallocate my 7-figure portfolio and I preferably want the assets with the best ROI.

Bonds are a safer bet. They offer good stable yields. But dividend stocks could make you a fortune if you know how to go about it. But it's always a good idea to work with a CFA. It streamline your strategy and help profit a lot.

No one wants to give up their 2-3.5% interest rates after refinancing their home two years ago. It's essentially free money from the bank, so why would anyone give up that advantage? This is why supply remains extremely tight with high demand. The real estate market price will continue to rise

Only X factor I’m wondering about as one of those homebuyers that’s been sitting on the sideline…. is how many of those other homebuyers that were sitting on the sideline still have the money to buy. Inflation has definitely taken a toll on people savings account with credit card interest interest rates right now. I have a feeling a lot of people can’t afford to buy, even if they were waiting for this opportunity.

Nobody ever asked for the specific meaning of the phrase "Transitory Inflation". Even the Pro Investors and traders pretended to understand. I still don't know what it means. Maybe we did have "transitory inflation".
@Nicole-zv7eeАй бұрын
I do not think the rates should be cut. I am very concerned about reigniting inflation, by the rates being lowered.
@HarlowReign-r7rАй бұрын
Man, the Fed shouldn't be messing with those interest rates. As rates go up, we're really feeling the pressure. Lowering those rates a bit could definitely ease the burden.
@EricaWaters-lr6zwАй бұрын
You hit the nail on the head with that one. The uptick in rates is surely tied to things like more imports and fewer exports. It's worth mulling over if the current quantitative tightening and higher rates could lead to some surprises. Do you reckon it's a good idea to consider putting some of our savings into stocks now?
@AshleyKeith-vw7wsАй бұрын
The economic situation seems quite delicate, doesn't it? Transitioning from austerity to Brexit and now facing the looming specter of potential bank failures. It would be wise to diligently study and seek counsel from a certified advisor before venturing into substantial investments during these unpredictable times.
@MelissaHobbs-qm8wiАй бұрын
I hear you, market forecasts can be hit or miss; that's been evident lately. It's been a rough patch for some, but others have steered through it well. Take me, for example, I'm semi-retired and have held onto a $2 million return on investment from consecutive investments.
@WhitneyRoss-dj4rfАй бұрын
That's quite a feat! Given the market's fluctuations, how did you manage to reach such a high level of financial success?
@MelissaHobbs-qm8wiАй бұрын
That's awesome! Having the same financial advisor for almost a decade has been a real blessing. We got in on the market early with a small investment, and it really took off over time. Even during the GameStop craze in 2020/2021, we saw some significant gains. Despite inflation eating into some of our profits, having a dedicated advisor like Desiree Ruth Hoffman looking after our portfolio has been a huge advantage.
@RushaMaastrichtАй бұрын
Why aren't banks then controlling the housing prices better, because they keep financing and providing mortgages even if the prices go up just on the basis on demand and not on the actual. Comingling comes from the fact that the investors and people that actually need the house for themselves are on the same market and that's why this is the biggest problem of huge house price increase.

Curious in your thoughts on Kamlas housing policieis simce you did me tion the gov being an x factors. Incaee you missed it, her plans includes removing unneeded red tape and regulations to allow eaiser building of smaller homes throughout the country instead of mcmansion, tax incentives for construction of these smaller homes, making tne building of these homes actually profitable unlike now. Limiting wall st from buying single family homes, and a push for a 40n fund for the intitave to start as soon as possible. This policy i dont agree with, 25k for first time home buyers. Looking at the policy as a whole, this seems to be a very postitive thing for americas housing woes. It looks like this policy would lower rents, proprrty values, and in turn, lower the price of a house Due to thr massive increase of housing supply. While lookong further, fhis looks to bolster the trades work force from construction, plumbing, hvac, electricians, etc. And a boom to local rconomies as well. Im curious to hear your thoughts on this.
@millionairemccoy218Ай бұрын
There will be alot of supply in places that keep building
@elissapoh7782Ай бұрын
In order to keep building, builders take out construction loans on spec housing which increases their cost of goods - when costs increase and the end price doesn’t, builders stop building - and that’s where we are at - especially on multi family housing currently because of units being sold prior to them being built… it’s a major problem.

People don't want to buy an overpriced house. We all know this market can't go on forever. The Govt does not have the money for that. So why buy now and lose out. Always do a market analysis on the homes. If you can rent it out and cover your mortgage then don't buy.
