From someone who lived houseless for 6 years in New England... 2 cheap lifesavers: hand warmers and baby wipes. Hand warmers are amazing in a sleeping bag or under your comforter in a powerless structure. A cheap, portable way to produce emergency heat. Baby wipes are amazing when a shower is unavailable. And it doesnt matter if the pack dries out, it only takes a couple cAp fulls of water to rehydrate it. 2 things that are always in my pack now.

I agree with winter preps. You can't be too careful. Here in winter predators are more apt to attack a man. It happened 2 miles from my house at night when a guy came home from work. A flashlight and a handgun will ward off most animals. A way to make a fire is mandatory and it's simple. I have a velcro sealed inner pocket in my coat for these small items. I even keep a baggie of jerky handy. Beats nothing. I'm 69 years old and I didn't get old being stupid lol. I ranch in western Colorado and I'm outside all day but I keep my insulated coveralls in my truck and carry tools just in case

We have a couple of windows that need to be replaced before winter. Plus we all need a good heavy coat. We live in the south and we don’t really worry about a heavy coat too much but that being said I am aware of the pole shifts and issues of that nature. Back in the early 80’s it seemed a lot colder in my neck of the woods than it has in the last oh ten years but it may be cycling back around. Thank you for the update!!

Hello micheal ❤ been doing fall clean up and maintenance. Staging gear like jackets and shovels. Checking on a snow blower when it’s less cold is nice ❤ take CaRe

Please talk Fortress into making them ranger green or something close to that, a natural green color that blends well in the woods would probably be insanely popular lol. Black is boring lol everything is black, tan is good but I have more green in my area so that would be best for me to spend that much on them.

Great video! Could you please show a proper winter car prep video? Especially the survival kit in the trunk. My kids have never taken me seriously, in this type of prepping. Thanks again.

Here in northern Minnesota we usually see sub-zero temps ranging from -5F to -45F. DEFINITELY not for freeze babies!

Yes I’d have to agree if they came out with an olive drab or ranger green … live in Oregon cascades very wooded so would be better ranger green 👍🏼

The prepper community is terrible about the subject of bugging out. Heading for the hills. The "hills" belong to "hillbillies" Their property and the government property, they consider it as their land. They have hunted and roam the hills for generations. IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THAT COMMUNITY YOU WILL BE CONSIDER AN INVADER.
