Preparing Arowana Food

I'd like to share how I prepare my Arowana Food.
Staple diet of my Asian Arowana is Market Prawn (MP).
I also give her pellets as alternate.

my mistake today i didn't remove the tail.. wanted to give to the SR but my bbg(bumblebee grouper) chase and ate it. Then the next day(today) the bbg having trouble with digestive problem and died this afternoon due to swimbladder digestion. Gonna train my recently bought HB to eat thinly sliced pangasius fish fillet (he's only 5-6 inches long, even the smallest fish meat that fits my ornate and saddled bichir mouthd is still too large for the aro). It's been 7 days since I bought him and he has been fasting for 2 days since I stopped feeding him mealworms (he started eating after 3 days in the new tank) here's hoping in another 2 or 3 days he'll give up and eat the fish meat because I tried feeding him today, he was fooled into eating the fish meat because I sliced it thin like a mealworm but somehow he knows the taste of the fish meat and spat it out, giving me a false hope.

What is the water parameters your maintaining and how are u maintaining the ph stable I’m struggling now I’m actually mixing 70% RO water and rest tap water and then seachem buffer to maintain PH 6.0 but my TDS is at 350 ppm

it's good to start them early while very young so they accept any food you bring to them regardless if it's pellet or prawn.

Yes, Red Flag Tail is one of the best tank mates for Arowana..it cleans the tank like a pleco ;)

Since I got him but he is a strange one his tale is orange a bit and his body is silver,green,blue and a bit of orange so I’m confused and he wasn’t and expensive one he cost 60$s so I don’t know if he is a propper breeded arowana

Hi Sir pwede po magtanong may Oscar kasi ako around 4-5inches nasa 20 gallon tank balak ko sana mag upgrade na to 75 tapos saka ko dagdagan ng Baby Aro about 6inches. okay po kaya yun di kaya sila magpatayan? hehe sensya na po noob question.

Hi Vijaya, it depends on the size of your jardini.. usually for 5-12 inches twice a day. As it grows 15 inches longer, once a day is enough. If it's 3yr-5yrs old above.. every other day is fine.. old Aros can be fed twice a week.

I trained my Aro early when she was just 5-6inches. Some keepers starve their Aro so it would take pellets.

Gusto ko sana market prawns nalang din yung main diet ng aro ko kaso kinakain lang nya kapag talagang gutom sya. Btw, bakit mo tinanggal sponge filter mo?

Naka disable ngayon yung underflow/overflow box. Binaba ko kasi water lvl using diy overflow pipe para tutok yung tanning light.. pinalitan ko ng airstone yung sponge filter para mas makahatak paakyat ng poops, para mahigop papuntang sump.

Usually mabubully yung RFT sa simula, but it depends parin sa temperament ng Aro mo. Good thing nasa 6inches palang ngayon, perfect time to introduce a tank mate habang maliit pa.

unfortunately when Aro is small (Juvy size) you won't see signs of PLJ. When I bought mine it was perfect scissor bite but PLJ slowly appears after a year and half.

protruding lower jaw Meaning its not scissor bite, the tip of the jaw is a little extended
