Did not expect that I just fell in love all over again!! Also I can't believe it's been 6yrs since making the broken mirror diy xmas tree! My hubby will do ANYTHING I come up , he loves it all! For a year and a half I have been suffering from breast cancer and he’s learned to do everything and I mean everything! OMG! As a trained artist/ conceptual designer, I have been taking pictures with my insta cameras (now smart phone) for decades. Printing out the pics then sketching directly on to those has made all the difference with my clients to help them see the concepts. They love this way more than a CAD design on a computer.

Becky, I still say...consider making that your forever home, install an elevator, build up those cabinets to the ceiling in the kitchen that you are not fond of and get sooo much more bang for your buck investing in what you already have. Your home there is and would continue to be show stopper. Think of what all you could do with the $$$ you would be saving by not building. This home is you and so beautiful !!

Hi love everything you do and yes my husband Ruben helps me with my Christmas decor he moves furniture and goes to my storage every year for 40 years and my son in law also helps with my decorating outside it's a family tradition we have and may I also add nobody complains about it they do it for me because they know it's what I love to do every year

I look forward to this time every year because I know you'll have new and inspiring ideas to get us excited about the season. I love the garland over the cabinets idea. I do one with lights, large ornaments, reindeer, and poinsettia over my very long fireplace that doesn't reach the ceiling and it looks beautiful. I also have an huge Christmas tree in the room and many other décor areas. I decided one year not to embellish over the fireplace and everyone was disappointed. It makes all the difference since it draws your eye up to accent the height. and casts a glow over the entire room. Just magical!!!

Since you're going with a forestry theme maybe you should borrow Sharrah's bears that she used last year that was in her entrance way. I really like the idea of the type of Christmas trees that you're using in front of these windows. Using tiny lights with maybe icicles would look so beautiful from the outside from the street when people drive by. Maybe some white maple or silver maple tree limbs about 4 to 6 ft high leaning up against the wall.

I'm so excited! I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I'm stressed about the holidays but I do love them very much. I have a lot of health problems that make it harder to enjoy the holidays. But I still get excited when I see the lighted Christmas trees in the stores. Christmas gives me hope. I am really looking forward to listening to Christmas music, buying gifts and decorating. OMG I am so excited for this video! I told my husband on Oct 1st,"Guess what today is?" He gives me a look and I reply, "YES, one month from today the decorating begins!" We have been together 11 years and at first he didnt get it, but now, NOW he loves it! We moved to the Rocky Mountains a bit over a year ago and we have beautiful views out every window, a 10' waterfall in front, a 30' waterfall in back and a koi pond with a waterfall too.... sadly to much snow and WIND at 9200' elevation to decorate much outside but the inside is CHRISTMAS everywhere and I so love following you and your ideas. I have been told over and over that I should decorate for others but my satisfaction comes from enjoying the fruits of my labor in my own home for 8 weeks! I am so thrilled to see what you have next for us!!! P.S. He might not let me paint a wall, BUT I have a BIG project he is doing for me.... a WOOD COOKIE wall!!

Well Kudzai, my decision to bypass fall decorating is made out of necessity… not a dislike for fall decorations and festivities. On top of my kitchen cabinets ….I wrap fake presents in beautiful wrapping sparkly “Crystal- ly” & have my “contactor rope lights” up above that reflect the sparkly paper. I chose large scale boxes to wrap and intertwine the boxes between a few kitchen favorites like cobalt blue glass and do not try to over do it… organized beauty that just gives the kitchen that holiday glow.

My kitchen cabinets do not go all the way to the ceiling either, which I love, because it allows me to display my antique metal pitcher collection, but also allows me to run garland up there for Christmas. I also nestle in very large pinecones here and there, as well as a few special woodland ornaments. Can’t wait to see how you arrange your garland!! 🙂

When my sons were growing up, every Christmas I moved some pieces of furniture so I could have the red and green theme. Last year with my sons already having families of their own, I decided my Xmas theme would match/ blend in with my furniture: light turquoise, beige, white, silver, and gold. I must be in the minority here to say that this is most definitely mega rich person Christmas decorating. Maybe I can take one or 2 of these ideas and tone them down for my modest 1930 Dutch colonial style home. I did very much appreciate your excitement and you’ve helped me get into the Christmas spirit, so for that, this not rich woman is grateful to you. Be well 🎄

I think it would be so cool to put some animals or other things up with the dress tree- a little vignette so its like a Christmas snow white? Love the three trees as well!

You probably have a better source but; we used Home Depot to reface our kitchen cabinets from a dark 1980’s walnut to a creamy white. As we worked with the designer we asked to have them bring the cabinets to the ceiling. So they actually had a company that contracts out for them and they built all smaller cabinets above our existing and then ordered taller doors to cover over everything. So from the outside it looks like one huge cabinet that extends to the ceiling, but it’s actually custom made boxes build on top of the existing solid wood cabinets. I love it! It looks like a totally different kitchen now. Nothing drives me crazier than cabinets that have all that wasted space above them. So I understand your frustration. You could probably do the same and have a carpenter build you extension boxes on top and order taller doors.

Rebecca, this video has gotten me excited about Christmas! I absolutely love your decoration ideas, especially the broken glass Christmas tree. Cannot wait to see what you do with it!
