This is my first year growing celery. I can’t help on information with the white stuff. I’ll harvest my celery tops before our first frost. I’ll start from seed again I Dec. I have 3 or 4 varieties.🤭 Now that I think about one of mine went to seed. I need to look tomorrow after work. Great fall harvest my gardening friend. Thanks for sharing.😊🌱

Hey Lisa! Wow! That celery harvest is great! I usually just cut it off and leave the roots in and it grows back! We don't eat that much of it! More around the holidays! Be well and stay safe!

If you want to leave the soil in the growbags you had aphids in, I suggest you just use those as is for growing alliums. There is a specific kind of aphid that attacks onions/garlic/leeks/chives, but they are black.

I might just let my sister use them to plant flowers in them next Spring because we never really have any over in that area other than when Basil flowers.

Our Utah tall celery, Pink plume celery, & Monarch Celeriac is about ready to harvest, but I plan to leave them until right before our 1st frost (about 3 weeks from now if not sooner). Yours did really well, I wish I could tell you what that is on some of the leaves, but I don't know. Our celery did good this year, but they produced bigger straighter stalks that looked straight out of the grocery store in 2023 for whatever reason LOL.
